Lake Champlain Chocolates

Crema's Take
“Tucked into charming Stowe, this chocolate-centric café transforms a winter afternoon into something special, pairing exceptional hot chocolate and artisanal chocolates with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back multiple times a day. The staff—particularly noted for their warmth and patience—create a slow, lingering experience perfect for meeting friends or settling in with a pastry, though be prepared that quality craftsmanship means your order might take a moment to prepare. While the chocolates skew pricey, the depth of their curation (from crunchy to silky options) and the genuine hospitality make it worth the splurge for a real treat.”

We stopped here for a hot choco after spending the whole afternoon window shopping at Stowe in the winter! They had some real yummy chocolate and sweet treats. They have plenty of seating inside and a few chairs outside for your outdoor needs!
I love this place soooo much. Acadia and Soma are so sweet, patient, and exemplars of hospitality. We have been to LCC every day for the past few days while in Stowe - even multiple times a day - because everything is so delicious here. We've tried quite literally the entire selection from the chocolate dipped cherries to the ginger to the orange peel to the peppermint bark and peanut brittle. While those are all delicious, don't sleep on the ice cream, shakes, and mochas/espresso drinks!! Honestly LCC has the best espresso drinks in town - and I've tried ALL of the coffeeshops within a 5 mile radius. I should have just come here for my daily coffee, but that's why I'm writing this review so you don't make the same mistake: come to LCC for your chocolates, shakes, and ESPECIALLY your espresso!!
Unfortunately, rude people work here. They definitely don't know how to treat customers. They definitely show that children are not welcome. My son simply touched the glass to show the chocolate he wanted to and the attendant was incredibly rude to him, for no reason. A place that relies entirely on tourism doesn't know how to treat customers. What a shame.
Great spot for chocolate lovers. There is a wide variety of options, from crunchy to soft and creamy chocolates. I’ll be honest though, the chocolates are on the pricey side, so while everything we’ve tried was delicious - it’s a bit tough to justify getting more than a handful.
The place is always bustling with activity. Despite the staff's continuous hard work, coffee preparation can take some time, but it’s well worth the wait. Kudos to the dedicated team! Their chocolate collection is truly exceptional, adding a delightful touch to the experience—definitely something not to be missed. Enjoy the atmosphere, the delicious coffee, and the amazing chocolates! 😊
