Crema's Take

Brother Juniper's is a beloved Memphis institution that feels like a warm embrace the moment you walk through the door of this quaint older building near the University of Memphis. The kitchen takes Southern breakfast seriously—think cinnamon roll pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs alongside comforting classics—while staff who genuinely care create an atmosphere where regulars and first-timers alike feel like family. It's the kind of place where lingering over coffee and conversation is not just welcomed but encouraged, making it a true community gathering spot.

Wow, just wow! Brother Juniper’s is everything you could want in an incredible food and community experience 💖🥰💖 everyone was kind, helpful, and you can feel the love the staff puts into this place as they flit around the dining room, smiling and offering refills and connection. The food is perfect, big portions, delicious flavors that manage to be both deeply familiar and authentic to this wonderful place. I’m just passing through, I envy the locals who get to eat here whenever! This place is so welcoming and everything tasted so good, I hope you love it too!

I went for the very first time. Cinnamon roll pancakes were delicious. They cooked my softly scrambled Eggs and potatoes was just right. Although I like crispy bacon, it was slightly overcooked but I was in and out not a long wait at all therefore ill be back.

Brother Juniper’s is a very solid breakfast choice if you’re anywhere near the University of Memphis. This is an example of excellent southern breakfast service in a quaint older building. Service was prompt and efficient. We started with strong, smooth, wonderful coffee. Then moved on to their take on Eggs Benedict on biscuits extremely tasty with country ham instead of Canadian bacon. Juniper’s will be a new go-to breakfast spot when I visit Memphis.

We haven’t been here in a while, but we finally made our way back to this breakfast spot. The service was lovely and very welcoming. The food tasted good, though it was served a little cold. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, and it was easy to find parking. We went on a Friday morning, and it wasn’t busy at all, no wait time, which was nice. Overall, a good experience and a convenient place to enjoy breakfast.

My family and I visited Brother Junipers for the second time on Sunday and thankfully their food was just as yummy as the first time! I ordered the pancake special that came with eggs, sausage and loaded home fries along with a cinnamon roll pancake. The loaded home fries and cinnamon roll pancake are a bit of an up-charge but they’re so worth it! We will definitely be back! Both times we have gone on a Sunday and the place has been packed. As a family of three our first wait was about 30 mins and this past wait was 15 mins, so if you are trying to take a large party I would definitely recommend getting on the waitlist ahead of time!
