Nespresso Boutique at Bloomingdales

Crema's Take

Tucked inside Bloomingdale's, this Nespresso outpost is a sleek, machine-focused spot where you can sample and purchase their signature pods, making it a convenient restock destination for home espresso enthusiasts. Fair warning: the check-in queuing system feels unnecessarily formal and has frustrated some visitors, though the staff are generally knowledgeable and occasionally warm, creating an experience that's more boutique showroom than casual café. It's best suited for quick visits or serious coffee tinkering rather than lingering conversation.

Ridiculous! Can’t just walk up and buy coffee- have to “check in” as if I’m getting ready for security to check in for a damn flight. Snobby staff as if you’re buying a $5000 LV bag. Get over yourselves people. It’s flipping coffee!

I hate to complain, but the queuing system really is really stupid, it’s not the employees fault for following company policy, but it really ruining my experience with Nespresso , and if you look at the reviews for both Nespresso in SD a lot of people complaining . I waited over 30 minutes on a Monday at 1:30pm to get to the register for coffee that I knew exactly what I wanted. Another customer and I ended up talking about how much we disliked the new check in system. I think if they are going to do a system like this they need to have 2 lines, one for people who want to be waited on, and one for customers who have to run or want to pick up their coffee. It ended up taking so long I couldn’t run my other errands. That’a not good customer service, and quite frankly a waste of paying customers time. I hope they change this soon, because it’s a bad policy and making shopping at Nespresso unenjoyable.

I had to go to Bloomingdale to pick up an order and thought it would be a good idea to stop here quickly since there was only one customer and no line. The other customer was sampling coffee so I tried to just buy some sleeves quickly and leave. The cashier got what I wanted and was ready to check me out but the worker sampling told the cashier to stop helping me because the other customer was before me in line. I waited a couple minutes but I was in a rush and had to leave with nothing. I’m just baffled by the whole experience and the worker’s pettiness. The cashier was ready to check me out and I would have been out the door by the time the other customer was done sampling. Guess I just have to order online from now on.

First visit was great; loved the service and vibe. Second, the taste testing ladies were super nice and friendly, but the male cashier (forgot his name) was very dismissive and barely interacted with me; I needed recommendations and it felt like I was bothering him. Hit or miss depending on the person working that day, I fear :/

Friendly service. Very knowledgeable workers. I loooove my Nespresso machine and it seems this place is the only spot that sells the pods in my area. It's nice to be able to restock right away instead of having to wait for them to come in the mail. I go through em like candy. 😅.
