MAYA CAFE Lounge & Gallery
1980 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL
Crema's Take
“This Winter Park gem masterfully blends gallery vibrancy with genuine hospitality, where colorful murals and eclectic art create an Instagram-worthy backdrop that actually delivers on the experience rather than just the aesthetics. Beyond the creative specialty drinks and impressively executed breakfast and tacos, what keeps people returning is the unhurried, welcoming atmosphere—complete with tabletop games and a family-first approach that makes everyone from couples to parents with kids feel genuinely at home. It's the rare coffee shop that feels like both an artistic sanctuary and a neighborhood gathering place where the food and service match the beautifully curated surroundings.”

So I seen a review on Instagram when I was looking for a good brunch spot and this did not disappoint. Service was phenomenal. The food was so good like really good. Me and my daughter had a mommy daughter date there and we both love it this is officially one of our new spots and we just moved here but today we had a time also to top it off the Art Decor was so pretty and the vibes was so good I felt comfortable thanks for everything we loved it and loved the service my waitress was there for all my needs. See you again soon.
10/10 great experience for any occasion. The place is filled with art and amazing aromas of food and coffee. Maya's Cafe is definitely kid friendly, most of the tables have funny card games and fun little table top games. The food is delicious and leaves you feeling full and certainly satisfied. We enjoyed Maya's Lattee, Chorizo Tacos and a Cuban sandwich with French fries. We had a blast and we'll be back!
Mayas Café is such a unique and cozy spot — it’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by colorful murals, eclectic art, hanging greenery, and bold design touches everywhere you look. Even the furniture is artistic, with painted chairs, and a bar built into the front of a classic car. It’s small and intimate, but full of personality and charm. My party and I all ordered the steak sandwich, but each tried different sides (Caesar salad, fries, and mac & cheese). Every single plate was delicious — the steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, and all the sides held their own. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, the salad was crisp and fresh, and the fries were golden and satisfying. Everyone at the table agreed we’d happily come back for it again. What I really loved most, besides the food, was the vibe. The staff don’t make you feel rushed, so you can really take your time and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and have a great conversation while soaking in the creativity around you. Between the amazing food, the artistic and cozy setting, and the laid-back energy, Mayas Café & Lounge is definitely a place worth visiting — and revisiting. Highly recommend the steak sandwich!
I loved my experience here! Everything from the aesthetic to the food was great. It has an authentic artsy feel about it that I greatly appreciated. I especially recommend the tacos, they were delicious! They also have a complimentary tarot reader on Thursdays! This place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for something different.
We had a fantastic time visiting this place as a family! My wife, our little boy, and I went for lunch, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Maya burger and two generously sized tacos, and both were packed with unique and flavorful seasonings. The burger stood out with its incredibly soft bun and perfectly seasoned meat, making it a must-try. The tacos may look small at first, but they’re actually quite filling—just the right portion for one person. The kids’ menu was simple yet satisfying—nothing out of the ordinary, but my little one enjoyed every bite. For drinks, I had a couple of commercial beers, which were reasonably priced, while my wife opted for a Matcha Latte. She loved it, describing it as “very natural” and well-balanced. Beyond the food, the atmosphere here is something special. The vibrant mix of colors, artistic decor, great music, and vintage touches create a unique and welcoming vibe. If you appreciate a place with character and charm, this is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy. Highly recommended—100% worth a visit!
