North Hi-Way Cafe

I have lived next door for almost 6 years and finally made it in for breakfast. On my way out, I found my son on his way in. Good stuff. I had the North Hi-Way combo omelet. The coffee was great, the waitresses were cute. The place was packed. The jokes of the day were a great touch.

Been coming here for 10 years now. It manages to still get better each time. Great food, great vibes, great way to kick off and welcome a new year! Here's to 2026, the wonderful C.J thst I was blessed with to be waited on by, and to the opertunity to start fresh with curiosity and a heart ful with love leading the charge! Lets go 2026!!! 🙌💪🤙

I went in for a quick breakfast and was a little disappointed because it was pretty busy and things took longer than expected. We got our drinks and after about an hour or so we got an unfortunate emergency call and had to leave in a hurry. Our food had not yet arrived and I wasn't quite sure what to do. I approached the front counter and explained the situation offering to at least pay for our sodas. But the wonderful lady just said "nevermind" and told us not to even worry about it. I thought that was just outstanding. Most places don't care what our problems are , they just care about money. As we departed we had almost made it to the car when apparently the food finally came out. And they actually ran outside to ask if we wanted them to put it in to go boxes but we really didn't have time. One of our mini horses had an emergency and we were rushing to the vet. So far so good for him though, and thank you to the manager who made an awkward experience easy. We will be back and again my apologies. Tucker the mule thanks you.

Local diner that specializes in food that will probably slowly kill you but know that you will die happy. Huge portions of comfort food. Staff is as local as the shop - ambiance is local diner, emphasis on local. Big menu - everything good - tried and proven. A sign says it all - this place came through the great depression, WW2, and COVID. That doesn't happen unless you are doing it right. They are. Highly recommend.

Unexpected and delightful find in Idaho falls. Traveling through and looking for an easy stop for lunch with our travel trailer in tow. Plenty of curb street parking for longer rigs like ours. Classic diner vibe. Rodeo upholstery on chair backs and booths. When we walked in it was crowded and staff was trying to catch up with turn over at tables. We had a choice of tables and they cleaned it up for us pretty quick. Also had option to sit at the counter. Staff was super friendly too. BEST burger we’ve had in a while. Buns and patties are made fresh, fries are hand cut, and onion rings have a light coating. They partner with a local bakery and offer a pre packed bakery box of goodies Saturdays and Sundays so we got one to go. They also are involved in the community and are helping support the local food bank by helping with a raffle to benefit. Feel lucky to have found this gem of a place.
