Bonta’ Bakery
824 5th Ave S #2, Naples, FL
Crema's Take
“This beloved Italian bakery on 5th Avenue is a genuine taste of Naples, Italy transplanted to Florida, where the pastries—especially their legendary Maritozzi—rival what you'd find in Rome itself. Every item from the eggplant pizza to the gelato arrives impossibly fresh, and the friendly staff clearly takes pride in sourcing quality ingredients and executing recipes with care. It's worth the occasional line that forms, as regulars know this isn't just coffee shop convenience but a proper destination for authentic Italian baking.”

Absolutely an incredible Italian bakery 10/10! Sometimes there is a line but it’s so worth the wait! Staff is friendly and food tastes so fresh!! It’s become my favorite little spot to visit off 5th Ave! Seating can be quite difficult as this is a local favorite, so I recommend holding a table outside while someone else makes the line!! You won’t be disappointed and will definitely be returning! Oh, they also serve gelato but I haven’t tried it yet, I do know many people wait in line for it too so it must be worth it!
If you’re looking for authentic Italian pastries, this is your place. I have never had a Maritozza this delicious in the U.S.- it was even better than ones I have had in Rome. Perfection. I also tried the Nutella Cornetta and the mixed jam Bombalone- light, flaky and the fillings were sweet and smooth. The Eggs Benedict was expertly prepared, eggs were runny as they should be, Hollandaise was homemade with silky, creamy texture. The potatoes served with it were soft and puffy on the inside with a slight crispiness on the outside- delightful. My vanilla latte was made perfectly, as expected. The ambiance here feels like a wonderful Roman bakery with the luxuries of the U.S.- the outdoor seating was beautiful and off the “main strip” of 5th Ave, tucked alongside the cafe. I will go back again and again and then figure out how to convince them to open in my hometown❤️
I visited today (2/8/26) around 2/3pm, and unfortunately witnessed a volatile female customer berate a staff member. Actually brought me to tears. I could not believe some1 was yelling & speaking to another human being that way. It was very disappointing to see anyone subjected to that level of abuse. However, I was incredibly impressed by how the employee handled the situation with dignity, calm, and professionalism. Their excellent customer service and composure in the face of such treatment were truly remarkable. I don’t think I could have handled it as gracefully. I’ve been there twice and the customer service is always great, pastries are fresh and delicious. Place is clean. My favorite spot in Naples for pastries. Will return and would highly recommend - Dr. Carol Williams MD
We stumbled upon this gem while strolling 5th for the first time. Tried a slice of their eggplant pizza, gelato, and shared a filled croissant. All were delicious and tasted as good as they looked!! The best gelato I have ever had! Highly recommend!
Bonta Bakery in Naples is a must-visit! Everything we tried was incredibly fresh and delicious. We sampled six different pastries, and every single one was excellent. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. If you’re looking for authentic, perfectly baked treats, this is the spot!
