Crema's Take
“La Coop is a family-owned gem that sources its beans directly from Guatemala, creating rich, well-balanced coffee that regulars keep coming back for—order their signature lavender latte for something special. The space strikes that rare balance of being both a productive work spot with solid WiFi and a genuinely warm gathering place, complete with thoughtful touches like free pup cups for your four-legged friends and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to settle in.”

We’ve been regular customers and have always loved the local, family-friendly feel here. The free pup cups were a small but meaningful touch that made choosing this shop easy for us. While I understand that policies change, it’s those little gestures that make a difference. Charging for pup cups has taken away some of that charm for our family, and we’ll likely be looking for another regular spot. Wishing the team all the best.
This place has become part of my daily routine, friendly staff, great milk substitutes, and a quite place for work with WiFi. Try their signature lavender latte and the Kennedy street with turkey bacon is my favourite breakfast option. It’s also pet friendly I bring my dog sometimes, staff are ok with pets inside.
A wonderful, family-owned coffee shop that sources its beans directly from Guatemala. There’s plenty of seating, both indoors and out, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and the staff is friendly. We drove nearly 20 minutes just for a latte and a cup of coffee, and it was absolutely worth it. Don’t miss this spot!
Coffee Shop No. 427 La Coop Coffee Arlington, VA October 6, 2024 La Coop Coffee in Washington, D.C. has always been on my coffee radar, but my trips into the city never quite took me to La Coop’s door. When I found out they opened a shop in Arlington I made sure the next time I was there I planned to visit La Coop. La Coop Coffee in Arlington is absolutely stunning. The moment you open the door you are welcomed to bright natural light and colorful decor. The barista was friendly, greeted me instantly and made a delicious cortado. I sat at the window, watched folks stroll be, sipped on my cortado, and enjoyed the moment I was blessed to be in.
We had a lovely breakfast at this coffee shop this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee was exceptional - full of flavor and not watered down. It was rich without being too strong, and even the iced caramel latte with oat milk didn't have that plant-based milk taste, which was great. They must use a high-quality brand for it. Our breakfast croissants were perfect - the portion size was just right, and the sausage and bacon added a slight saltiness that paired well with the toasted croissants and eggs, creating a pleasant texture. We also tried their pastries from Fresh Baguette, a well-known French bakery in McLean. The apple Danish was perfect. The coffee shop was cozy and tidy, with trendy decor. The white tiles and gold lantern hats contrasted beautifully with the dark green panels on one side, and hanging plants from the ceiling added a nice touch. The other side of the wall was covered in colorful wallpaper with photographs showing where their coffee was grown. We loved every aspect of the shop, including the excellent service. We can't wait to go back and have another breakfast soon!
