Crema's Take

This light-filled Sarasota spot takes both coffee and breakfast seriously, with espresso that satisfies connoisseurs without the pretension, paired with standout pastries like cinnamon rolls and a legendary Bentons Bacon biscuit that keeps people coming back. The spacious indoor-outdoor layout and attentive service make it an easy place to linger, whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a full breakfast, though arriving early is smart since their bakery items tend to sell out fast.

The standard Bentons Bacon and baked egg biscuit is amazing. The cinnamon rolls look better than they are, but they're still very very good.

I love the ambiance at Buttermilk, tons of natural light and really spacious indoor/outdoor seating. The coffee is great quality, attentive service and parking is a plus. I’m definitely coming back to try breakfast next time.

We enjoyed a great breakfast. We arrived around 9:45 and it was busy as a great place should be. We waited in line for a few minutes to place our order. Everything was fantastic. I snagged the last Nashville Chicken on a Biscuit. It was awesome. Everything else our party ordered was terrific, too. Enjoy this place.

Where to start? How about COFFEE! These folks have leveled up on espresso creation with the right equipment and coffee. Top notch for coffee connoisseurs with reasonable pricing. Now the FOOD: it is a unique treat. Highly recommend the pimento cheese option. Everything is scratch baked, so you can pick the wrong thing. Try several if visiting.

Free and easy parking just steps from the front door. I'd advise to get there early as am quite a line built up and certain bakery items do sell out. We ordered the avocado toast with greens, peanuts, and a hot sauce on brioche was tasty but at $11.25. Bathe biscuit with egg and pimento cheese was fluffy and perfect substitution for vegetarians. We took home the blueberry muffin and chocolate/espresso cake (muffin). We tried the blueberry muffin it was delicious but nothing you could not do yourself. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality, presentation, and location make it understandable. The staff were helpful, and the pastry case offered several eye-catching treats--some topped with colorful decorations that would especially appeal to children. (The kids next to us LOVED the cookies). AND I will leave a quote I like, The Simpsons' character Jacques, a French bowling instructor, once described brunch as: "It's not quite breakfast, it's not quite lunch…you don't get exactly what you would at breakfast, but you still get a good meal. ‘ You will get that here!
