Daily Donut

I miss living in Louisiana, but glad I dint because of this place. Id wiegh 300 lbs. Best donuts ever, period.

The craz over hot donuts always amazes me. People just like fried hot dough doused in sugar. In my years experience as a donut critic, mostly all these local donut outlets are using basically the run of the mill donut dough from the same distributors. True, they might add some small change, but it still taste like all others. The fact is no one makes a better tasting doughnut than Krispy Kreme. They have a unique texture and taste created by a professional French New Orlean chef and it’s kept under lock and key. It’s not duplicated but often tried to be imitated. Test your favorite donut after leaving it out for a day- not hot. You get the true taste. Krispy Kreme stands up to the true taste test- still has their unique light, airy, and straight-up delicious taste and texture while all others taste bland and the same. As far as the review for this place, the apple fritter was better than the average. I also tried the eclair and glazed doughnut, which are no different than most of the other doughnut outlets.

So went by today, Sunday morning around 9am. Chain link gates were closed and locked. The owner or somebody needs to update the hours of operation. Tried to give you some business. Would have been nice to have current hours posted.

The donuts by themselves are literally the best to me , especially the fresh batches . I was born and raised in gonzales and they’ve been here I would like to say just as long, but it’s not just the food I been faithfully eating here over 10 years. I’m a recovering addict and there was days I know I walked in this place looking more than unapproachable . This man has never treated me any different at my worst and at my best he has always given me the upmost respect and has always been super nice and friendly . Not only do I love the food but the whole family running it are respectful and hardworking!!! I really believe they don’t get enough credit.

Hidden gem in Gonzales , one of the best places to indulge in an unhealthy breakfast treat. Doughnuts are always fresh. My fave place in the greater BR area . Service is a lil slow, made me late for work but well worth it.. Your excused for being late if you bring food 😂
