Good Times Bagels

Crema's Take
“This beloved Boise bagel spot nails the cozy gathering place vibe, where you can linger over a leisurely breakfast or grab something quick without feeling rushed, and the standout bagels—particularly their creative sandwiches like the Rizo with chorizo and egg—keep locals coming back devotedly. While consistency seems to be a work in progress with occasional quality hiccups, the warm staff and inviting atmosphere make it easy to see why it's become a genuine community hangout for bagel lovers who appreciate fresh, thoughtful combinations over a good cup of coffee.”

10/10 will be coming back again and again. One of the best bagels I’ve ever had. I got The Lox on everything. Although it was crowded it wasn’t too noisy. The menu was easy to navigate as a newb. My dirty chai was spectacular. And it was very clean even for being really busy/crowded. Although my partner’s bagel had a bit too much cream cheese, you can’t really have too much of such a delicious thing lol. I also liked that I could watch the bagels being made, that was cool.
Not good bagels, 3/10 overall. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. 1) They look burnt, they taste burnt, they are burnt. This is the biggest problem. 2) The bagels are too small; inside to crust ratio is too small. Maybe they aren’t using enough dough or aren’t letting the dough rise enough. Something is wrong there… 3) The inside is too much like a loaf of bread. It’s doesn’t have that chewy dense goodness. 4) They don’t do bakers dozens (weird for a bagel place but whatever I guess).
Good Times Bagels has always been a unique spot with a great atmosphere, which is why this review is tough to write. I’ve been coming here for a long time, and while it used to be amazing, the quality has noticeably gone downhill. I ordered a normal bagel sandwich and was genuinely surprised by the size — apparently they now serve mini bagels. For an $8 bagel sandwich, it does taste good, but the size of the bagel itself is laughable. I keep coming back because I want this place to succeed, but I’m writing this in hopes that things change. Otherwise, it feels like we’re watching another small business slowly head in the wrong direction. That said, the coffee is still good — so there’s that. I really hope they get back to what made them great… the bagels
amazing bagels with very fresh and yummy selections to choose from! we all enjoyed our bagels and coffees immensely, though there weren’t much flavor options to choose from. That however did not bother me, as the taste of the coffee was really good and balanced in my personal opinion! I got a nova lox bagel with an iced brown sugar americano! my only issue was it was a bit spend for a coffee and bagel sadly. I will be back to visit, just not as often due to pricing. parking right now is not the best due to traffic but I parking was easy to find a block down!
The BEST bagel sandwich I’ve ever had!!!! I’m legit blown away. I got the #8 Rizo on a salt bagel. The perfect flavor of folded egg with chorizo. The staff is really nice. My wife got the everything bagel with the most perfect amount of spread I’ve ever seen. God Bless Good Times, may they forever create the best bagels. “Ask not what Good Times can do for you, but what you can do for Good Times” Adding more: still 5 Stars!!! The Lox bagel was hands down the best I’ve had in my life. The pastrami is great too!! More pics here.
