Crema's Take

This South Burlington bagel shop wins hearts with its impressive variety of fresh baked goods and a cozy atmosphere that's equally suited for a quick coffee grab or a lingering meeting with friends. The bagel sandwiches are the real draw—think turkey chipotle and creative flavor combinations—though fair warning: their cinnamon rolls and specialty items move fast enough that online inventory doesn't always keep up with reality. The friendly staff and welcoming space make it feel like a genuine neighborhood spot rather than just another breakfast chain, even if bagel preferences vary from one customer to the next.

Large bagel selection and variety of sandwiches. They often show baked goods out of stock online when they aren't. I love their cinnamon rolls but often dont get them for this reason. Also, I dont like how they default to asking customers to tip. This is not a sit down restaurant where employees are paid $3/hour before tips and you dont even get to see your food before being prompted to tip. I hope the employees are being paid decent wages and the owners reconsider this practice.

Bagel was good but there wasn’t much to it. Two slices of bacon and not much cheese for what you normally get at other nearby bagel shops. Other than that there is good seating and friendly service.

Solid bagel sandwich. Got the turkey chipotle. Took almost 20 minutes on what appeared to be be medium level busy. Sandwich fillings are good though the bagel is a little fluffier than I’d prefer.

The shop is located right across from the hotel I was staying at, which made it super convenient. I stopped by for lunch on April 15th around 1 p.m. The place smelled great, was clean, and had plenty of bagel and topping options to choose from. I went with a classic BLT on an everything bagel. Prices were reasonable — not super cheap, but definitely fair for the quality. The two girls working were friendly and welcoming, and service was quick. That said… as I was leaving, half my bagel flew to the ground (don’t ask me how, I’m still not sure). I was honestly mortified, but one of the employees immediately started cleaning it up while the other began making a fresh one without hesitation. I really appreciated how they handled the situation — quick, professional, and helpful! Despite the little mishap, it was a great stop with a delicious bagel, great service, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a chill place to grab a good breakfast or lunch. Thanks again from your Canadian neighbor — and sorry about the flying bagel!
