LOVE this coffee hut. Huge supporter of this location and the other over the moon coffee hut on base. However this hut is right next to our home and theyre pup focused, friendly, and have very tasty coffee with sugar free alternatives like toasted marshmallow and oat/almond dairy free coffee that is hot, flavorful, and well made. As long as we are on JBER we will choose this hut!

So disappointed. I pulled up at 640 pm waited 2 mins and then was told they were “closed”. The business hours posted on the store and online say open til 7pm. I was really looking forward to a warm coffee ☕️ to end the night. This occurred on Monday December 15th. The lady was not very understanding and just told me to drive safe and have a good night. Well now I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

The drinks come out different every single time when we constantly order the same drinks, which is a little frustrating but totally able to be improved with some consistent training! However today my husband found a hair at the bottom of his blended drink, we even fished it out to be sure somehow it wasn’t either of ours by chance and it is a color hair that neither of us have 🤢 Also customer service is okay but I may be biased considering I grew up in WA with amazing coffee customer service where the energy is high and the baristas are always trying to earn their tip through kind small talk. Here we just get a hi what would you like to drink and then don’t get spoken to again until it’s time to pay, no one is rude but it also isn’t an inviting atmosphere that makes me want to continue spending my money here. I really hope to see some improvements be made so that I can come back and give a more positive review!

We love having this coffee stand on base! It is super convenient and the staff is always friendly. Their coffee is not only delicious, but our pup gets so excited for their homemade dog treats. He barely can wait for me to take them out of the wrapping!

What a lovely little coffee hut! My family and I have lived in Eagle River for 10+ years and have, unfortunately, seen many coffee huts come and go at this particular location over the years (I believe the location may be a bit challenging). We would LOVE for a shop to make it for the long haul, and we think Kai's may just be the one that pulls it off!! Although I am not really a coffee drinker, I made an exception today and visited the hut today to show our support. Can I just say; I was SO impressed by the amazing customer service, incredible coffee and loved all the K9 treats they offer. I can say that today's caramel iced coffee was, hands-down, the best I've ever had. If you're looking for great coffee, great service and great prices, this is the place for you! Small places like this are built and sustained by local support - let's help Kai's make it for the long haul! Ps: Maybe add some colorful flags or lights to your white signs near the road. When driving, it's quite challenging to see the current signs. I feel like many people are missing out on amazing coffee because they simply don't know the shop is tucked away in the corner up there. Really rooting for you all!!! You got this!
