Moriwa Matcha

You gotta try it to believe it sometimes. I really enjoyed the drink I got and feel like this place is worth 5 stars despite other reviews. I’m an avid matcha drinker too and I highly recommend their Double Matcha. I also love that they use bigger cups (some places use 12oz iced cups only) but theirs was 16 or 18oz for $8 (w/ tip). The place was clean and the service was fast. I’m excited to try the other drinks they have!

Soft opening, ordered at the kiosk. Limited menu but enough of a selection. I opted for the strawberry matcha latte with 0% sugar and light ice. The matcha flavor came through and the strawberry puree was tasty, didn’t taste artificial. One bench inside so probably best to order to-go. Residential area with limited parking meters on Taraval. Price point is competitive, will come again.

Visited on a thursday around noon and waited less than 5 minutes for my drink! They had a self ordering kiosk making ordering easy and convenient. I got the double cream matcha and it was super rich and creamy ($6.75). The sweetness level was perfect for me (100%, but adjustable) and the matcha was smooth and not grainy at all. Staff was quick and sweet, overall I would give an 8/10! Super excited to have a yummy matcha place in the area and looking forward to trying their other drinks :)

A new business that I really like! The matcha latte I ordered was really delicious. I first came in not expecting much but oh my god the matcha is actually really good quality and very tasty. It might be one of the best matchas I’ve tasted in SF so far. The staff member was also nice and quick. I’m definitely going to be back and recommend this place to anyone who likes matcha drinks :)

I drove by and noticed a long line outside this new tea shop, so I figured I’d give it a try. The wait was a bit longer than expected, but it’s their soft opening, and the team mentioned it was their very first day—so totally understandable. The matcha was surprisingly rich and smooth. I’m not even a big matcha person, but I’m really happy to see a matcha spot finally open up in this area.
