Crema's Take
“Nirvana Soul is a San Jose-born gem now bringing its creative spirit to San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood, founded by sisters Jeronica and Be'Anka with a mission to build community through exceptional coffee. Their menu goes far beyond the basics with signature creative drinks that feel genuinely one-of-a-kind, complemented by thoughtfully crafted lattes and pour overs that locals are already raving about. It's the kind of spot where you'll want to slow down, enjoy quality pastries, and discover why this small business has quickly become a favorite among SF coffee enthusiasts.”

Nirvana Soul in SoMa is seriously one of my new favorite spots. Their drinks are incredibly creative — not your typical coffee shop menu, but true one-of-a-kind creations that actually taste as good as they look. You can tell they put a lot of thought and fun into every drink. The staff is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. You don’t just feel like a customer here — you feel like part of the community the moment you walk in. The plant-filled vibe and colorful decor make the whole space feel bright, calming, and inspiring. It’s an awesome place to hang out, get some work done, or just grab something delicious before exploring SoMa. Highly recommend stopping by — this place absolutely lives up to the hype.
After checking out of the Hyatt I wanted a little something something that was not basic. We thankfully found Nirvana Soul Coffee and it became my favorite in SF. First off, it’s a cute little coffee shop with a few chairs inside to enjoy your drink and bite to eat. There are so many plants inside and cute seasonal decor creating a visually appealing atmosphere. The Lavender Honey Latte was so good, not too sweet, not too strong, just right. It comes with an espresso shot which is just what I needed after a late night. My sister got the peach iced tea and loved it. We easily split the Cheddar Bacon Waffle and it was like nothing I had before. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a cheddar, bacon, and light scallion flavor. It hit the spot so good I was ready to start my day after this treat. It’s clear they put thought and effort into their menu and atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in SF and try something else off their delicious menu.
Cute coffee café (a San José - based business). Their first outpost in San Francisco! I tried a chai latte. It was okay…I just needed a little more sugar & got a few packs to add to my beverage. One of the few open early morning…they open at 7am weekdays & 8am Saturdays. There is food. Looks like the pastries are from Neighborhood Bakehouse (Dogpatch). I find Phil’s beverages to be weak. Happy there is another option near SF’s Caltrains station!!!
Nirvana Soul Coffee was founded by two sisters Jeronica and Be’Anka born from their desire to bring people together over a good cup of coffee. Despite being a small business, this South Bay-based coffee company already boasts a number of storefronts in Downtown San Jose, Cupertino, and (of course) San Francisco. The storefront itself is on the smaller side with limited seating indoors, which makes this a perfect grab-and-go spot. Despite the limited real estate, Nirvana Soul Coffee is bursting with character with a very colorful and aesthetic interior that will certainly bring a smile to your face. I'm not your biggest coffee drinker (but I am slowly becoming a convert) and so I asked the staff for their recommendation. The staff was super helpful in making suggestions identifying the banana chai as one of the best sellers; however, I ended up going with another one of their popular drinks - the honey lavender latte - iced as recommended and with oat milk. I also got their chocolate chip waffle to go with my drink. The honey lavender latte was delicious - just sweet enough without overpowering the innate coffee taste and perfectly balanced with floral notes coming from the lavender. The waffle was made fresh - crispy out the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with chocolate chips. These two together made for the perfect morning pick-me-up! Although this was my first time visiting Nirvana Soul Coffee, it definitely won't be my last! If you're looking for your next coffee spot in San Francisco, then I highly recommend giving Nirvana Soul Coffee a try!
We’re so excited to have a new local coffee shop in the neighborhood! We tried the lattes yesterday, and they were fantastic—smooth, flavorful, and just what we needed. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. They also have a great selection of pastries and small bites, which is perfect for a quick snack. It’s great to see a new spot like this in the community. We’ll definitely be ba
