Reunion Bread
1240 S Pearl St, Denver, CO
Crema's Take
“This beloved Denver bakery is worth the wait, turning out impossibly fresh pastries and breads that arrive warm from the oven, with their ethereal Golfeados and buttery croissants earning devoted followers who've dreamed of visiting for years. Beyond the stellar baked goods, Reunion shines as a genuinely welcoming gathering spot where you can linger over standout dishes like egg toast topped with stracciatella and pistachio, or try their recent collaboration with Riot BBQ on empanadas. The friendly, passionate team behind the counter—led by baker Ismael—creates an atmosphere that feels less like a transaction and more like joining something special, even if you're willing to brave the half-hour line for the privilege.”

Very friendly service & unreaaaal pastries. Delicious egg toast with stracciatella cheese and pistachio on top
Visiting Reunion Bakery has been a dream I’ve had for the past 3 years while following Ismael and his team’s work through social media. Today was the day that I finally got a chance to visit the bakery and see them in full action. Even while super busy, Ismael took the time to have a conversation with me, while running back and forward in the middle of rush hour, and that says lot’s about him as a person and the care he puts not only into his products but about the people around him. During the visit, we got the guava and cheese danish (the coconut shavings just seal the deal of a perfect pastry), ham and Gruyère croissant (I mea anything with Gruyère is always good, along with the crunchiest dough) , the chocolate chip cookie (a big fan of cookies, and let’s just say this one is at the top of the list), and the olives and zaatar sourdough bread (just delicious!). I would definitely come back on my next trip to Denver, and if you still have not tried them, please do as soon as you can! :)
Reunion Bread continues to be one of my go-to bakeries in Denver, and this visit really delivered. They recently collaborated with Riot BBQ on empanadas, offering pork, chicken, and fish. I tried all three and each one was well executed. The fillings were flavorful, the pastry was done right, and none of them felt like an afterthought. It was a fun collaboration and absolutely worth checking out. We also grabbed some of their usual pastries and they reminded me why I keep coming back. The guava and cheese was rich without being heavy, the natas were excellent, the golfeado was comforting and familiar, and the lemon cream puff was light and not overly sweet. Reunion Bread is consistent, thoughtful, and reliable. Whether it’s a special collaboration or their everyday offerings, the quality is always there. Definitely a spot I’ll keep returning to.
Everything is baked very fresh. Their croissants are delicious, but the Golfeados are heavenly. 👌🏻 The wait was a bit long though, but that’s because they make everything fresh so I’m not really complaining. 🙌🏻
Best bakery in Denver by far. Pastries are so fresh that they are usually warm straight from the oven. Worth going out of the way for, just be prepared to sometimes wait in line for half an hour. Highly recommend trying the Venezuelan sticky bun.
