Crema's Take

Ripple Cafe feels like the kind of neighborhood spot where the team genuinely cares—even staff wrapping up at closing time won't rush you out the door. Their creative drinks shine, from lavender-spiked chai to signature creations like the Haitian limeade, while their sandwiches are a consistent highlight worth returning for, paired with light vegetarian options and matcha that hit the mark. It's perfectly positioned near Kendall for a slow, unhurried sit with reasonable pricing and the kind of attentive service that makes you want to become a regular.

Tasty vegetarian rice bowl with fresh vegetables! And the perfect hot chai with lavender. The location is convenient by Kendall station. Pricing was reasonable, total for two items was $26. I hope they add more vegan and vegetarian options!

I almost walked past Ripple Cafe because it was right at closing time—the lights were dimming, chairs were being tucked away—but I’m so glad I didn’t. Even though the team was clearly wrapping up for the night, they welcomed me in with genuine warmth and happily made me a fresh cup of coffee. On a really cold night, that kindness alone felt like a gift. I decided to try the pistachio vanilla latte—something I was curious about but didn’t expect much from. To my surprise, it was excellent. You could actually taste the pistachio, which is rare in hot lattes (it usually disappears unless it’s iced). This one didn’t. It was comforting, aromatic, and exactly what I needed as the cold lingered outside ☕❄️ Yes, the sugar was a bit on the higher side, but honestly, that’s an easy tweak for next time—and not a complaint at all. What really stood out was the experience: the cozy, warm ambiance that wrapped around you the moment you stepped in, and the friendly smiles from the front team who, despite a long and chilly day, still served coffee with care and kindness. There’s something special about holding a hot latte in your hands on a freezing night, knowing it was made with patience and goodwill. Big shout-out to the entire team—this stop turned an ordinary evening into a memorable one. I’m definitely glad I stopped by and will be back again 😊

I would say they have some amazing sandwiches. I went a few times and always said I wanted to try the rice bowl. Yesterday I finally did and let’s just say I should have stuck to the sandwiches. I purchase the jerk turkey tip rice bowl. The rice is delicious but these so called turkey tips are awful. They are dry as ever and inedible. I had to threw them away sadly a big waste of money. They are advertised as turkey tips which is typically juicy due to the fat but these are not turkey tips more like dried turkey breast. Sadly I probably won’t be back

Had an unfortunate lunch experience here; the food quality was unacceptable. Ordered the “tomato bisque soup and grilled cheese” for $16 and was really shocked at the result. Plain white bread with an American single hardened and torched (not melted) and very underripe flavorless tomato slices. Cheap toddler-style grilled cheese except not at all how your mother made it. Had a couple bites and it tasted worse than it looked. The way the cheese was burned and hardened was disturbing to say the least. The soup tasted like pizza/pasta sauce from a can with a sprinkle of oregano on top. Good news is the staff took my complaint and gave me a refund. They let me know the ingredients are “US Foods.” I hope that this review is seen by higher up management; they should really do better to procure higher quality ingredients and rethink their recipes and preparation. Thanks to the staff that helped me with the refund (only reason I’m giving two stars), but I won’t be coming back.

I always have the best experience when I go there. The staff is amazing! Friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are always delicious. The London Fog latte, the Haitian limeade, the Haitian inspired bowls. I cannot say enough, I frequently go there and am never disappointed.
