Marcy & Myrtle Cafe
574 Marcy Ave, Bedford-Stuyvesant, NY
Crema's Take
“Nestled in Bed-Stuy, this cafe has earned a devoted following for its consistency and genuine warmth, where regulars swear by the unique egg & cheese sandwich and creative matcha lattes made with almond milk. The baristas clearly care about getting your order right every single time, and the community-focused atmosphere makes it the kind of place where you'll want to linger with your laptop or a friend for hours. Their signature creations like peanut butter and hojicha lattes show they're experimenting beyond the basics, though their strength really lies in nailing the fundamentals with care.”

So glad I found this place! The atmosphere here is always warm and welcoming and I especially appreciate the consistency. My coffee comes out exactly how I like it every time.
This is the greatest coffee shop of all time you will not be disappointed. I have a goat cheese sandwich every morning, every single day of my life. I’m in love with everything here. I Would give my life for Marcy Myrtle. I would go to war for this place. No cap.
Great food, friendly baristas, and a lovely sense of community. We’ve been coming here for years and I always look forward to the (very unique) egg & cheese and the matcha latte, which I get with almond milk! I’m picky about matcha but I really love the one they use here.
Every single time I come in here, I notice how differently I’m greeted and addressed. It’s a very noticeable difference how this older white woman treats anyone who isn’t white. I’ve come here a few times and every single time it’s been horrible customer service whereas anyone else is met with a smile and overall a happier introduction. As others have stated, it’s crazy for them to be acting this way in a historically Black neighborhood. I usually go for the convenience since it’s a 3 minute walk but I’d rather walk a mile than pay $10 for a drink with an unwelcoming attitude. Go literally anywhere else
Really nice to find a cafe in the area. There’s the usual selection and some specials. Tried their hojicha latte and peanut butter latte. Hojicha was ok, it’s on the lighter side flavor-wise but the peanut butter latte was delicious. There’s no indoor seating but there’s a bench and some seating outside.
