Dr Drips Coffee Lounge

Crema's Take
“Dr Drips Coffee Lounge brings a refreshing retro mid-century modern aesthetic to Orlando's coffee scene, with a genuinely cozy vibe that feels like a natural gathering spot for everyone from solo coffee lovers to families. The skilled baristas like Nhan and Zoe clearly care about getting to know their customers, and they're creative enough to craft custom drinks like tea and lemonade refreshers for non-coffee folks, while their espresso-focused menu and signature creations satisfy the specialty coffee crowd. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for a real conversation with a friend or just soak in the warm, welcoming energy while enjoying genuinely good pastries and coffee.”

I went to this coffee shop and absolutely loved the vibe. The place is super cozy, comfortable, and has such a good energy. The two baristas Nhan and Zoe who helped me were amazing — really friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. It’s the kind of place you can relax, enjoy your coffee, and feel welcomed. I definitely recommend it and would 100% come back.
Met a friend here for coffee, and this was my first time. This is the kind of coffee shop vibe and look that I really love, and it’s the first one in Orlando that I have found that really has it. There is plenty of seating, whether it’s at the bar or a table, including some community tables. There’s a small stage in the back as well as a pool table and there are outlets for power. I had a latte, and loved it.
I LOVE this coffee lounge. It has a diverse patronage and was a place that my kids could go too. They even came up with a tea and lemonade refresher for my daughter, since she obviously doesn’t like coffee at 9 years old and my boys enjoyed hot cocoa. Friday nights they have karaoke that was inclusive for everyone. Even my son got to get up and sing several songs. He had the time of his life and helped kick off the night. We had a blast laughing and singing together and enjoying the relaxing homelike feel of the lounge. My first impression when we walked in was we were met with friendly smiles and a welcoming atmosphere and that the entire place was clearly a “vibe.” With the beautiful antique furniture, the dimmed lighting, and just the general immediate relaxing feel, it was a place anyone could enjoy. I loved seeing my husband teach our sons how to play pool, so cute! The drinks were delicious, I had the good vibes tea with agave in it and it was so refreshing. Earlier in the day I had an iced mocha with vanilla cold foam, very basic, but it was amazing compared to other popular places. Overall 10/10 will visit again
This fun retro mid century modern cafe is a great new addition to the coffee scene in Orlando. It’s still very new and they are clearly getting their act together, but the pastries are good and the drip coffee is great (free self serve refills)! The pastries are a little pricey. The cinnamon roll is more of a cakey texture, not your typical gooey, doughy texture, but it tastes great! The egg pastry is very flaky with a whole egg cooked inside. The staff is super friendly and helpful, but it was quite a wait for us to get our pastries and coffee. I did have to wait for them to brew a new pot of coffee and the pastries were warmed. Well worth the wait! They paid attention to the decor and you can tell that each item was carefully chosen, each unique and brought back childhood memories. Free street parking and a large parking lot down the street. Lots of fun tables, couches and even a billiard table in the back bar area. Plus seating out front on the patio. Kid and dog friendly.
Visited Dr. Drip during their soft opening. They don't have their full range of supplies in and are still in the process of training staff, but the ambiance is delightful and the coffee is delicious. We ordered the iced Boo-Berry with espresso and a Cinnamon Crunch with Chai. I appreciated how the lighting inside was not harsh, but still bright enough to read. They have lots of mid century decor and paraphernalia if you like a vinage flair, miss your childhood home, or'd like to take a walk down memory lane. I'm excited to visit again after they officially open up, but in the meantime, this spot is a lovely addition to the Ivanhoe Village district.
