Classic Cup

Mixed experience sometimes. The food is great, some of the portions have shrunk over the years (size of the chicken salad scoop on the sandwich specifically) but you know, inflation is rough. The training of the staff is where I’ve been disappointed. A few weeks ago I went and took one bite of the coleslaw and had to spit it out, it was clearly spoiled. Look, things happen, tiny cups get pushed back in the fridge, coolers start to go out, etc. I didn’t make a big deal out of it but I was eating there so I went and reported it. The cashiers response was “Oh, ok.” Thats it. She gave me nothing reaction wise so I further added, “You should go tell the back so no one gets sick.” She replied, “Oh yeah, I’ll do that.” But then didn’t go immediately to do that despite an empty restaurant. No apology, no offer of an alternative. I didn’t have the time or energy to push it at the moment, so I just chalked it up to inexperience. Didn’t write a review then because I want to give local businesses the benefit of the doubt. Today, went in and ordered my fav chicken salad sandwich(no coleslaw this time, because I can still taste the spoiled one in my mind). When I arrived the cashiers response was tending to all the trash cans: out front, bathroom, behind the counter. She followed me and out the trash down and went to the register but I told her she could finish up, I wanted to give her a chance to wash her hands. She went and did some more, took the collected trash to the outdoor dumpster, did not wash hands, came back and activated the register again. I told her I wasn’t in a hurry and she could finish up. She started putting fresh bags in the cans, but she’d activate the register every time she came back for another empty bag. She finally finished and came to the register and I asked her point blank, “You should probably wash your hands, right?” and she laughed and said, “Oh yeah, I’m heading to the bathroom right after this.” I was kind of at a loss, so I ordered and she touched the cash register and handed me a number with trash can hands. There is a sink with handsoap right behind the register, so I would assume it's a handwash station. I didn't see her use it and she popped in and out of the back very quickly with my food and drink, so I have no idea if she actually made an effort at washing up before serving me. It's disappointing.

Came for a first time visit today, and visually the place is cute and aesthetically pleasing. However, it’s not great enough to warrant a return. We got in the car to leave and realized we never received our chips for our meal. It was not busy so this shouldn’t be an oversight. Also, charging for a cup of water? Never experienced that before in my life from a cafe/restaurant.

Classic Cup has been my favorite coffee spot for a minute now. I like to order it a certain way, and it has always stayed consistent with the taste. Christina took my order this morning and was very nice/personable. Great customer service always goes a long way!

New 2nd location from their original drive thru in Abbeville, this one is right off the main highway into Maurice. It was my first time tasting their coffee, I got a salted caramel & white chocolate latte, and you could really taste the salted caramel, probably a little too much for me, but still tasty. Nice interior with a healthy amount of seating available indoors and outdoors with gifts and nic nacs to purchase. There is also food and pastries sold here ! Friendly and helpful staff too. I do have to say, if you’re getting a flavored coffee, it’s more on the sweeter side
