Crema's Take
“Thayer is a wonderfully laid-back East Village spot that takes both its espresso and its people seriously, crafting rich, beautifully balanced coffee while genuinely welcoming laptop workers to stay for hours without any pressure. The space has real character—think bookshelves lining the walls, a huge cozy couch downstairs, and upstairs seating that feels like a hidden gem—plus housemade syrups and solid pastries that elevate a simple coffee run into something special. It's the kind of place where you feel the staff's warmth immediately and the energy makes you want to linger, whether you're meeting a friend or settling in for a deep work session.”

Very laptop friendly cafe with fine vibes. It’s very tech tech laptop laptop. The prices are a bit high but since theyre letting people stay for a few hours I think that’s so fair. Seating is limited but was able to snag a seat with an outlet at noon on a Saturday. Pretty good WiFi. They have a bathroom.
This coffee shop in Alphabet City is a great spot for getting work done. Open until 8pm, it's a cozy and inviting space with lots of tables as well as sofas for you to sit at. The coffee itself here is alright. I got their honey nut cheerio latte and there wasn't much difference between that and a regular latte. Overall, for coffee, I think this spot is okay. But, for a work spot, I can see it being a go-to for many.
A cozy gem for your caffeine fix! Thayer serves rich, beautifully crafted coffee in a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the vibe is perfect for a casual catch-up or a solo work session.
Hip vibes coffee shop!!! House made vanilla syrup. Delish latte. Smells fabulous. Laptop friendly with plenty of seating. Huge couch downstairs. Bookshelves all around. Hugely fantastic energy. My vanilla iced latte was fab. Tons of cool drink options like “spicy mocha latte”. Will be back to try some cool combos & read a book / get stuff done. They have baked goods sourced from local spots
Hip modern coffee shop in the east village. Great for pastries and all types of coffees. The best place to grab a seat is upstairs but there’s a decent couch and chairs set downstairs as well.
