Caffe Centro
102 S Park St, San Francisco, CA
Crema's Take
“Caffe Centro is a perfectly straightforward neighborhood gem in South Park where high-quality ingredients and genuine attention to detail shine through in everything from their creative espresso drinks to satisfying breakfast wraps and sandwiches. The vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious—friendly staff, fair prices, and a charming sidewalk parklet that locals keep returning to, whether they're grabbing a quick mocha or settling in for a leisurely lunch with a kale salad. It's the kind of place that gets the fundamentals right and makes you want to linger over your chai latte or vanilla latte just a bit longer.”

Great environment for a coffee break. Got the BLAT sandwich, vanilla latte for hubby, and mocha latte for me.
The egg salad sandwich was divine. I used to work nearby on 2nd Street and wandered back to my old stomping grounds. Had a chai latte as well. It was good and could have been a little hotter The Caesar salad was ok. The egg salad sandwich was much better.
Perfectly simple. Every cafe in the world should take a hint from places like this: High quality ingredients Creative menu Attention to detail Fair prices Courteous and attentive staff Good location That's really all you need to have people lining up day after day, and Caffe Centro gets it. I went with the ham and swiss, and it was great. The quality of the meat, cheese, bread, vegetables and mustard were all very high, and the sandwich was put together with care and attention. I got a bag of Kettle Chips and a glass of water, and the total came to a bit over $9 with tax. This is the kind of place where you could eat several times per week, and I plan to be back to try more of their sandwiches and salads.
No indoor dining at the moment but lots of outdoor seating. I got the kale salad and it was pretty filling! Prices were good (see menu photos attached). Overall, great healthy lunch spot if you’re in the area.
Nice breakfast spot in South Park with a few small tables on the sidewalk and a mini parklet. They have a decent food menu to choose from. I had a breakfast wrap (i.e. Burrito) whose portion was good and taste was fine, maybe a tad too bland. However, the service feels transactional, which makes me sad because I think this place has a lot of potential.
