Crema's Take

Lips Cafe is a Brooklyn gem that opens late and welcomes you in with genuinely kind service and a carefully curated vibe complete with thoughtful music and vintage books to browse. Beyond solid traditional coffee, they've earned their reputation for creative signature drinks like their standout ginger lemonade and a surprisingly excellent food menu that spans from fresh salads to surprising hits like their Rasta pasta. It's the kind of unhurried neighborhood spot where you can actually settle in for hours, whether you're working on your laptop or meeting a friend, without feeling rushed.

Amazing café with a great variety of options! The menu has everything from delicious choices. The drinks are just as good — the ginger lemonade is especially refreshing. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

My experience here was okay. It was pretty crowded so I ended up moving seats to find a more comfortable spot. I got the regular Rasta pasta and I’ll admit it was very good. Along with the service was both friendly and timely. But I just felt like for the hype the place was pretty rundown.

The food here is amazing. My mango salmon salad was delicious and colourful with a variety of ingredients, grapes, cherry tomatoes, mango, bell peppers, onions, leaves, salmon.

It's a gd place 2 cool out, the music is very enjoyable 2 listen 2. The prices are very reasonable, there's books you can read. Artist like Mos Def, Maxwell, Shane, Busta Rhymes, Lauren Hill. Also the café is very animal friendly, you can bring your pet inside the building.

Went to Lips Cafe this morning and absolutely loved it. Have to mention how kind the barista was, we didn’t realize they opened at 9 - not 8 - he had just gotten in and let us stay and served us still! I was stuck between a few of their cool latte options (beet, tumeric, black mamba) he suggested the black mamba based on someone’s review yesterday and was right - one of the most unique and delicious lattes I’ve had - made with charcole but you can’t tell it’s still so delicious and smooth. We also had an iced coffee, a vegan blueberry muffin (great!) , and the cheddar biscuit (also delicious) so we were very happy with the food and drinks. The space is so cool, very unique decoration pieces and a lot of seating space. All in all highly recommend, and can’t wait to go back to try their wraps and paninis which look great!
