Goodwin's Organics Cafe

I have been shopping at Goodwins Organic Foods for months. I absolutely love shopping there. I love their organic products, their variety and their values. Those are the reasons why I continue to shop there. However, there is one thing that I would like to bring to your attention that has made me extremely uncomfortable while checking out at your store. There is one cashier (short older lady with short hair) that is rude to me every time I have to checkout with her. She simply refuses to say hello, make eye contact and she rolls her attitude out with me every time. Last time I shopped there I got in line, opened my reusable bag to put my groceries in the counter. No hello, nothing. I then began bagging my own groceries while she hardly said a word. I mean NOTHING. While she is checking me out she literally yawns right in front of me. After I paid her, I said bye and walked out with her glaring at me, rolling her eyes. Wow, never in my life have I felt so disrespected and not wanted somewhere as a customer. Yes, people have bad days, but this has happened numerous times to me over the years. I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable shopping at a place that prides themselves on being welcoming and like a family sense that’s the way I know and love Goodwins. I’m writing this because I love this place and I want to continue to shop there feeling like a comfortable and welcomed customer. I hope ownership reads this and can help resolve this situation so that the customer experience can meet the quality that Goodwin’s Organic Foods provides.

Best grocery store in SoCal! Great choices, family owned, and sweet community feeling!

I really liked the place and was even going to sign up for a membership starting in January. They close at 8 p.m., and from what I had been told before by an employee, turn off the oven for cooking pizzas at least 30 min before it closes, which makes sense. Then tell me why I went there to order a pizza at 6:45 p.m., they tell me they stop making them at 7 p.m., and don't take my order? I see from other reviews that apparently I was not the only one to have this issue. The whole thing made me so angry, I refuse to step in there again. TLDR: their products are great, but be ready for some BS if they don't feel like taking a "difficult" order.

I was so dreading Thanksgiving this year and I didn't want to cook so I ordered the premade Thanksgiving Feast this Thanksgiving and it was the best Thanksgiving ready made feast I have ever eaten!! Everything was so flavorful and the turkey was juicy and well seasoned. There was even fruit cooked with the turkey that gave it a nice flavor. All the sides were just wonderful and there were organic buns and organic pumpkin pie that was included. And it was all ORGANIC!!! I will definitely will be ordering this feast next year. I'm hoping it will be a yearly tradition!! Well done Goodwin's!!!

Great organic and healthy options and a super awesome deli/cafe area with amazing options! The entire store is super cozy and every employee was super kind, patient and understanding. We stopped by to get a quick breakfast on a road trip and despite having pretty low stock we were still able to make some delicious custom wraps/burritos. The bacon in the wrap was perfectly crispy and had a delicious and fresh taste. I also decided to get a blue lagoon drink since it looked super fun and it didn’t disappoint! My partner also got a green drink which tasted very healthy, personally not my jam but it definitely had lots of superfoods. The prices are on the higher end especially at the hot bar, but I think it’s fair considering the quality of foods you get. If you’re going for the hot bar I would recommend going later in morning since we went really early and they didn’t have much in stock and most of the food was still being prepared. I would definitely come back here, it’s a great option to get a relaxing drink or smoothie!
