Crema's Take
“This Pasadena bagel destination has earned serious devotion for its artisanal approach to a classic—reviewers consistently praise the exceptional chew and creative flavor combinations that set these bagels apart from typical bakeries. The warm, attentive staff (Roberto gets a special mention) pairs perfectly with the full breakfast and light food menu, though fair warning: the lines can stretch past an hour during peak times, so a quieter Tuesday afternoon might be your sweet spot. There's something special about a place with a Taiwanese name meaning "My Bread" that's become a must-visit pilgrimage for bagel lovers willing to wait.”

If you are a fan of bagels, Miopane is an absolute must-visit. I’ve tried many bakeries, but the texture and creativity here are on a completely different level. The bagels have a chew on the outside but stay incredibly soft and fluffy on the inside. Incredible Fillings: They don’t hold back! The cream cheese fillings are generous and come in unique flavors. The matcha and blueberry cream cheese are my personal favorites. Perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The shop is clean, well-organized, and the staff is always efficient even when there’s a line. Which often there is a line for good reason.
I visited Miopane and the customer service was great, Roberto made sure we were well accommodated and was very attentive with a great attitude! The rest of the staff is also very nice, the bagels are really good and fresh as well as the croissants. We ordered the jalapeño, strawberry, and green onion bagels, along with a tiramisu & blueberry croissant, and a pecan cinnamon roll. We also ordered a matcha and Spanish latte which were also good, however my favorite was the matcha latte! Overall a 9/10 experience, I would recommend you stop by and check it out! 😊
I've walked by this place sometimes and there's always a ridiculous line. I've heard great things but just could never justify waiting over an hour for a bagel Well today I was I luck! Tuesday afternoon at about 2pm I just happened to walk by while I was in Old Town doing errands and noticed there was no wait! It smelled heavenly when I walked in. I grabbed the garlicky cream cheese stuffed bagel and a sour cream and chive bagel. Saw the sticky bun and couldn't pass that up either since it was the size of my head! Everything was delish!! The bagels are soft and chewy. Not like your typical bagel that's more doughy and crunchy on the outside. The stuffings were a nice touch. The sticky bun was my favorite though! The candied pecans and the glaze are soooo good! Staff was beyond friendly and welcoming. I will def go back ... just never on the weekend when the line is around the corner.
January 2025: First came here on Monday, January 19th.... But they were closed for MLK ☹️. So we came back on January 21st before flying out of Burbank airport. Note that we didn't eat anything that same day. Line was a little long (about 20 people) when we got there at about 11am. Didn't take too long to get through. Unfortunately they were out of the PBJ bagel ☹️. But here's what we got: chocolate croissant, maple glazed green onion croissant 🥐, black sesame cream cheese bagel, blueberry cream cheese bagel, jalapeno cheddar tomato 🍅 bagel. Everything was very tasty 😋. I would definitely get the blueberry cream cheese bagel again. Yummy. I liked everything else. Will definitely be back when I am in Pasadena again! Great place for baked treats.
My wife and I finally made it to MioPane in Pasadena for breakfast this morning! Fun fact I learned: "MioPane" actually means "My Bread" (我的麵包) in Taiwanese, which makes total sense once you try their food. The star here is the bagels, but just know they are totally different from the dense American style. These are super soft, chewy, and loaded with different fillings. We saw them bringing fresh racks right out of the oven, so freshness is guaranteed. We ordered the herbal roast tomato bagel, a twist puff pastry, and a sticky bun. Everything was amazing. We wanted to try the Matcha Pillow drink, but ran out of time (next time for sure!). Heads up: We waited an hour in line and had to park pretty far since street parking was full. The cashier recommended coming right at 8 AM opening to beat the rush. Great service despite the crazy line!
