Crema's Take

This beloved Springdale brunch spot draws crowds early and often for its made-from-scratch breakfasts—think coconut pancakes and creative takes on classics like the Highway 45—paired with a genuinely warm, family-friendly atmosphere that locals and visitors alike keep coming back for. The pastries and light fare are solid, but it's really the full breakfast menu and that sweet spot between casual and special-occasion dining that keeps people willing to wait an hour on Sunday mornings. Fair warning: arrive early if you want to skip the queue, but the vibe and food justify the buzz.

First time going today and it was very good! Went with some gal pals for brunch. The wait time we were given was between 45 minutes in an hour. I think we waited maybe an hour and five minutes which wasn’t bad because we went around the back and got some coffee. The wait it’s typically pretty long from what I’ve heard so expect that, but it is worth the wait. I tried the Nellie’s Natural, if you love floral flavors, then you will very much like this. It was a bit too much for me, but I think the right kind of people will really appreciate it. Their chai latte was good and had a good cinnamon taste to it. Once we got sat, the service was excellent. The mushroom mash was absolutely phenomenal. I tried my friend’s chicken sausage, and it was super good as well. It was a great experience for brunch.

We should’ve gone for breakfast instead of dinner which is our fault. It wasn’t bad! They had a special holiday menu so we were excited. My fiancé is allergic to seafood so he couldn’t eat almost all of the holiday menu and the other option was burgers. We each got a burger and shared the duck gumbo for an appetizer. I wouldn’t say that either of us were super impressed by the food but we both still appreciate the effort and the quality. The gumbo was more like a thick soup and served with baguettes for some reason? The burgers had great flavor but were close to $30 each and I don’t find that worth it. I would like to try their breakfast one day- we did not realize that was their specialty. The environment was a bit odd but I can see the vision. It’s like a crowded old house that got renovated into a home style type of place.

We were in the area visiting from California. Thought we would try this place. I got the coconut pancake and it was so good! The hubby and kids got the classic pancake, they liked them. We got a side order of biscuit and gravy, it was great. We were seated right away, waited under 5 minutes. The waitress was friendly. My only regret is I didnt try the coffee, I over heard a waiter talking about it and I really missed out. Next time!

Pretty cool vibes here. We came here around 7:30 AM on a Sunday and by 8:00 AM folks were waiting for tables. Get here early if you don’t like to wait. The food is delicious. My wife and son got the highway 45 and I got the sweet potato pancakes. Everything was fresh, hot and good. Service was excellent.

I ordered the Highway 45 breakfast and it wasn’t awful but also not my favorite. The gravy was, odd…it was more like a mornay sauce than a traditional breakfast gravy that I’m used to. I asked for sausage but there was no sausage in it so maybe that made the difference. I’m not really sure. In the dish as a whole, the cheese wasn’t necessary (or maybe a less funky kind paired with the odd gravy would’ve eaten better),Gravy is a big deal for me when it comes to breakfast, so if I don’t like the way a place prepares it, I’m most likely not going to go back. I might give this place another shot, just to try something else on the menu. They seem to be busy all the time so general consensus would be the weird-to-me gravy doesn’t stop anyone else, lol. The coffee was good!!
