Crema's Take

This Phoenix walk-up gem serves serious Latin comfort food alongside thoughtfully crafted coffee, from an Abuelita mocha that "slaps" to fish tacos that have people driving from Chandler just to return. The casual, welcoming vibe pairs perfectly with a charming back patio where you can linger over breakfast classics like chilaquiles and fresh fruit, or grab your coffee quick if you're in a rush. Whether you're meeting a friend or fueling up solo, Malegria feels like the kind of neighborhood spot that gets everything right—the coffee, the food, and the genuine warmth that keeps people coming back.

The BEST central breakfast. Great coffee and great service. Came all the way from Chandler and will definitely be back.

FISH TACOS!!! I can eat at this place everyday if I lived closer. I go for their fish tacos but the people I was with also love the chilaquiles. We had the papusas last time, which were very good. It’s not expensive at all and they have a cute patio area to eat at. Wonderful place!!

I ordered the ground beef pastelitos, iced tea with mango pineapple, and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious. The fresh fruit had strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and green apple. The iced tea had chunks of the fruit since I added the mango pineapple. It was a great portion size. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Also, the woman at the window was delightful!

Malegria Latin Cafe is a great little walk up spot for coffee and a quick bite. It feels casual and welcoming, and the patio seating in the back is such a fun bonus, especially on a nice day. I was recommended the Abuelita mocha and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Rich, chocolatey, and perfectly balanced. Overall great vibes, friendly energy, and an easy place to stop and enjoy. Definitely worth checking out if you are nearby.

This place opened across the street from me and finally decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as I saw the Abuelita mocha on the menu I knew I had to try it. And it slapped. Also the breakfast tacos and salsa were delicious. The back seating area is cute and I’m just sad I didn’t try this place sooner 🥰
