Philz Coffee
520 N State College Blvd, Fullerton, CA
Crema's Take
“This Fullerton location brings the San Francisco Philz experience to Orange County with their signature made-to-order philosophy, where baristas personally hand-craft each drink and invite you to taste it before they hand it over to ensure it's exactly right. Their seasonal specials like holiday peppermint cookies and creative drinks such as the Mint Mojito keep regulars coming back, while the cozy, inviting interior makes it an ideal spot to linger with a perfectly balanced mocha or cold brew. It's the kind of independent coffee shop where attention to detail and genuine care for the customer experience shine through in every cup.”

I was so excited when I heard they had a holiday peppermint cookie so I actually drove right over for the cookie. Lucky for me, there were 2 left so I bought it. I also got the holiday tiramisu cold brew. The cashier I believe was training a new person and they were both nice. My cookie was delicious! And my drink was a bit too sweet for me but the barista did offer to change it for me but I saved it for the next day so that was on me. I can't have their coffee too late because it'll keep me up. :P
Cute coffee shop! Drinks are made to order so it always tastes fresh. Once ready they always ask you to taste it and see if it needs anything else, so it's the perfect cup every time. My favorite is the iced mint mojito... best sweet and creamy. They even do decaf and half-caf, so everyone can enjoy.
Extremely disappointing experience at Philz Coffee Fullerton. I’ve been a loyal Philz customer for years, but what happened today completely ruined my impression of this location. I came by around 1:45–1:50 PM on October 9 to pick up my mobile order through the drive-through, and the girl working at the open window (wearing a short-sleeve pink top) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The very first thing she said to me was, “Next time when you’re here, just wait.” — which already threw me off. When I asked what she meant, she replied (with attitude), “It seems like when you arrived you were saying some words, and I had to drop everything I was doing to get to you.” First of all, I did not say a single word before pulling up. I was simply waiting for someone to say hello on the speaker like every normal customer would. Even after I politely clarified that it wasn’t me, she continued with an attitude, rolled her eyes, and handed me my drink with zero apology or professionalism. Making me feel like I made her “drop everything” was completely uncalled for. If she misheard someone else, she could have simply clarified or asked nicely — not direct that blame toward me. The way she spoke made me feel blamed and disrespected for absolutely no reason. Philz is a brand I’ve always associated with kindness and great customer service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I really hope management addresses this behavior, because customers shouldn’t be treated like this — especially at a place that prides itself on warmth and hospitality. Not sure if this is the girl's name, but the name is "Angela" on the cup.
As someone who lived in San Francisco/Bay Area for many years, Philz Coffee was one of my favorite coffee shops. I was pleasantly surprised and excited to see one in Fullerton! My favorites are Mint Mojito and Iced Coffee Rose. Oh, so good… now, my visit at this Philz was that it was beyond cold inside. The temperature was at least 55 degrees. Maybe I’m exaggerating but too cold for me. We decided to hangout outside in our car to enjoy our coffee and pastry. We tried to hangout inside but were too uncomfortable! Lastly, they didn’t have butter. I’m not sure if Philz doesn’t offer butter at all or if it was only at this location. So I had to change my breakfast option. At the end of the day, the coffee is delicious and service is always great!!
Philz Coffee is a fantastic spot! Their mocha is absolutely delicious—smooth, rich, and perfectly crafted. The interiors are cozy and inviting, making it a great place to relax or get some work done. Plus, the ample parking is such a convenience, especially during busy hours. Highly recommend for coffee lovers!
