Kitch Cafe

Crema's Take
“Nestled in Amerige Heights Town Center, Kitch Cafe is a genuine slowdown spot where generous portions and made-to-order food justify the patient wait, all enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages lingering over coffee and conversation. The QR code ordering system keeps things smooth despite the crowds, and their savory pastries and breakfast fare—especially standouts like the California sandwich and prosciutto arugula pizza—have earned devoted regulars who don't mind claiming a seat and staying awhile.”

This place was nice. Very relaxed vibes where you can order upfront or from your seat with the QR code provided. The wait for food was about 15 minutes but portion wise they don't skimp out! I got the Bacon Breakfast Burrito and it was really filling. Flavor wise it was a bit bland and needed a tad bit more salt or pepper. Depending on time it can busy. I went on a Sunday around 10 AM where it was busy then became slow and picked up again at 11 AM. Attending to the tables I feel needed more work. At one point, I saw 3-4 tables that needed to be cleaned but thankfully there were no customers who needed to sit.
It's one of my favorite places! Food does take time to make, but it is totally worth the wait. Also, seating can be hard to find since people do stay longer than normal. Overall, I recommend this place. It is a nice quaint place to relax. I had banana biscof latte. My bf always gets the souffle pancakes. He loves their cloud-like texture. This is definitely a lunch place as portions aren't huge. My personal favorite is the loco moco.
Such a great spot in Amerige Heights Town Center--right across from Barnes & Noble. My husband and I first came here for breakfast and loved it. We sat outside and had the California sando and shakshuka--both were super flavorful. Since then, I've come back a bunch of times with friends for brunch after our Sunday runs at the Fullerton Loop. We're obsessed with the avocado veggie omelette, and the soufflé pancake with strawberry mango syrup is a total must. So good! My husband highly recommends the brisket burrito. They just started serving dinner too, so that's definitely going on my list. Love this place--great food, great environment.
First time checking this place out. On weekends, expect to wait about 25 to 30 minutes. I recommend using Yelp to check in ahead of time. The service was great, everyone was professional and kind. I ordered a 16 oz hazelnut iced latte, and my friend got a 16 oz iced matcha latte. I also had the breakfast burrito, but for $12, I don’t think I’d get it again. It was on the smaller side and mostly filled with hash browns. My friend didn't really care for the eggs Benedict toast. The hazelnut latte really impressed me. The espresso was rich and the flavor was delicious. Next time, I think I’ll try their famous Kitch Toast. They allow dogs on leash and even have little bowls of water available inside. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a self serve water station. Once you check in and your name is called, they will direct you to order at the register and assign you a table number. At the register, you’ll place your order and let them know your table number so they can bring the food to you. The only tricky part is that if you’ve never been there before, you’ll need to ask someone to show you where your table is because the numbers are taped to the right corner of each table and can be hard to spot. Other than that, I’ll probably be coming back mostly for the coffee!
overall: 8/10 ੈ✩‧₊˚ ig reel: @rach.foodie Food🍞 I'm a sweet over savory person but this place does their savory best! My favorite by far was their prosciutto arugula pizza! So underrated! Everyone always talks about their brunch items but their lunch pizzas need to be talked about more. The crust was perfectly seasoned, i could eat this alone. The pizza crust from well-known pizza chains are usually bland and have no flavor but something about Kitch’s pizza crust is so addicting! It pairs so well with the warm cheese & salty prosciutto. Top it off with red pepper flakes and perfection. Would definitely come back just for this. From their brunch menu, I loved the kalbi jjim eggs benedict, smoked brisket burrito, and steelhead toast. The meat in the eggs benedict & burrito were so tender and soft, blending perfectly with the eggs. The steelhead toast is basically a lox toast. You can never go wrong with a lox toast! It’s a good balance between smokey and fresh. Some things to keep in mind… If you were planning to order the souffle pancakes, they have an egg–y taste bc the pancakes are made of egg whites. Also, the french toast wasn’t as soft as I expected. I recommend getting the biscoff banana or ube french toast instead of the original. It'll be more soft & flavorful bc the bread is soaking up the condensed milk! Service🤗 The workers were very kind & friendly despite it only being their first week open. However, they did give me the wrong dish. I ordered a biscoff banana french toast, but they ended up giving me the original french toast. Im sure they would've happily agreed to provide me with the correct dish but I was short on time so I didn’t ask. Ambiance✨ Went ~11am on a Tuesday and it was quite busier than I had anticipated. I was luckily able to get one of the last tables inside. Loved the interior, it’s a good blend between a 1980s retro diner with a modern touch.
