Crema's Take

Just steps from the beach in Deerfield, La Riviera Cafe strikes that perfect balance between a relaxed seaside escape and a proper specialty coffee destination, where you're equally likely to linger over a cortado and pastry as you are to settle in for a full breakfast. The newer ownership has brought fresh energy to the space with stylish, cozy decor and a rotating menu that goes beyond coffee—think creamy matcha lattes, pistachio desserts, and surprisingly excellent French toast and burrata plates that feel like genuine care went into them.

We visited on 3/2/26. The espresso and pistacio dessert were pretty good. Decor is nice, location close to beach is handy. The coffee shop experience is not just about getting a coffee fix-- it can be really enhanced by the barista. Ours was not rude, but also not smiling and engaginging-- which would have made it more fun.

La Riviera Cafe is a wonderful place you’ll want to come back to again and again. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, creating a relaxing, almost seaside vibe. The food was excellent — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service deserves special mention: attentive, friendly, and never intrusive. You can really feel that they care about their guests and the overall experience. A perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or a lovely evening out. Highly recommended!

Went here for breakfast with a friend and we really liked the place. We ordered the burrata and the French toast — both were really good. We also had a matcha latte and a cortado, and they were also tasty. The brunch was under $40 total. The café is super cozy, the service was fast, and the whole place has a great vibe.

I use to love coming to the crepe cafe, recently turned over to new owns and is now known as this establishment. I’d give zero stars if it was an option. I paid way over the quality of the cinnamon bun (BRICK) I received and capp. I spent almost $30. Gross! 1 the counter girl needs to learn how to smile and not linger over someone trying to read the menu. 2. I’m pretty sure I can find the same bun at my local Walmart for 2.99, and it won’t be a brick. This place is not the hometown local family vibe it used to be and all I can say is the new owners should have thought more about the changes and lack of hospitality. I miss the crepe cafe!!!!

We visited Crepe Cafe last year and loved it! We tried the crepes, and they tasted just like the ones in Greece. The lady working there was very friendly ,she told me she’s from Bulgaria, and I’m from Greece, which made it feel even more special. The crepes were absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this place!
