I come here all the time and have never had a problem with my drink or with any employee. However, I had a very disappointing experience today. My friend went inside to order our drinks while I was on the phone with her. I clearly heard her order two blended chais. When the drinks came out, they were two hot chais. My friend told the barista that she didn’t order them hot. First, I heard her order blended, and second, we don’t drink hot chais, so that’s not something she would accidentally say. I’ve been a barista before, and I understand that it’s easy to mishear orders sometimes. Mistakes happen. The issue wasn’t the mistake it was how it was handled. The barista wouldn’t take any responsibility and didn’t offer to remake the drinks. Instead, he told her that if she wanted the correct drinks, she would have to buy them again. Our order had already cost $17, and casually asking someone to pay another $17 for a mistake they didn’t make isn’t reasonable. My friend stayed on the phone with me during this, and I encouraged her to keep asking because I’ve never experienced something like this at this establishment before. They went back and forth for about 7 minutes. My friend has pretty high anxiety, but I kept encouraging her to stand up for herself. The barista continued insisting she needed to pay another $17, even though he was the one who misheard the order. Eventually, he handed her two blended chais and she left. She’s not familiar with the service here, but when she got back to me I immediately noticed the drinks weren’t made properly. The blended ice was chunky and separated, and the drink itself tasted watered down. It was clear that the drinks weren’t made correctly. I’m very disappointed because, as I said, I come here all the time and have never experienced anything like this. This happened March 7th around 6 PM. If possible, please check the cameras and audio from the register area. My friend clearly said “blended chai,” but instead she ended up dealing with a very frustrating and disrespectful situation.

I love chai so this place was made for me! Great recommendation from the barista to try the “orgasmic chai” and happy to find a nice variation of a drink I like so much. Great vibes - would be a perfect study location!

this is the best chai i’ve ever tasted! a little pricey for the sizes though. very cute interior, decent sitting area.

Exceptional. Awesome ambience, very silent and not crowded. Rustic and classic ambience, serene and peaceful. I would say the best scones on the world, closer to the best cinnamon roll in the world. This place has to be in some food vlogger/influencers vlog so that it will go viral. This place definitely has the potential for that. Uncommon chai was superb too.

This place was a delight. I met a date here for tea and I must say the decor and vibes had me from the moment I entered. Situated on the first floor of a historic duplex, it holds onto much of the pre-war charm so rarely seen now. The staff were polite and helpful. The tea that I had was amazing. Apparently this place is known for their chai, and I can see why.
