Jey Diner
721 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Crema's Take
“This neighborhood Brooklyn diner punches way above its weight with a surprisingly diverse menu that spans from perfectly executed waffles and eggs to standout pork chops and fresh pasta, all delivered with genuinely warm, attentive service. The small, welcoming space has become a go-to for locals who appreciate solid traditional cooking done right—whether you're stopping in for a quick coffee and breakfast or settling in for a leisurely meal with friends and family. It's the kind of place where the details matter, from the fresh-squeezed juice to the house-made bread, and the staff makes you feel genuinely looked after.”

Fantastic service! The food and coffee were both great and ready quickly. My husband and I both had waffles; he got eggs and bacon on the side and I chose fruit. I especially loved the juice which I'm guessing they make themselves. They have lots of little things that add to the experience. The menu is also quite extensive; I look forward to trying the strawberry salad next time!
What a great authentic place! We had a late breakfast here and were positively surprised. Everything was well seasoned and the service was incredibly nice 😊 if we come back to this area we would be back to try their pancakes!
Stopped by in the afternoon—food was great! Had the pork chops with rice and beans, really tasty. Service was friendly too. Definitely a good spot to grab a meal.
We live in the neighborhood, but somehow have never managed to try it. But today we had our dog with us and needed to find a place to go while we waited for work in our apartment to get done so we headed over. We ordered the fries, which were amazing, crispy, and seasoned along with four delicious sauces. We also had chocolate chip pancakes and huevos rancheros. All so tasty. And even beautifully plated. I actually can't name another diner that puts so much effort into plating. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. Don't let the small size and unassuming storefront fool you - this is a great diner. We will be coming back for sure!
The place seemed really small to have such a diverse menu. We both landed on pasta. It was really good, but the bread was the star. The staff were friendly and we felt welcome. The thing I really liked was the steady parade of neighborhood regulars who came to eat or get take out while we were there. They clearly had what it took to back up all those choices, and it shows the quality when people keep coming back.
