Crema's Take
“Smiley Face Cafe is a charming mom-and-pop spot in Bradenton that blends excellent coffee craft with an unexpectedly adventurous kitchen, featuring creative seasonal drinks like honey lavender lattes alongside breakfast and lunch with Mexican and Japanese-inspired twists. The vintage aesthetic and welcoming atmosphere—complete with a kids' zone—make it equally suited for a quick caffeine hit or a leisurely meal with friends and family, and regulars rave about both the precision of drinks like their caramel lattes and the freshness and presentation of every plate that leaves the kitchen.”

Megan is fantastic. This will be my new favorite place in the area to eat. I had the tuna bowl. It was delicious. Everything at our table was fresh, well made, beautifully presented, and delicious. The breads and pastries were beautiful. The coffees and drinks perfectly made.
This is my second time going and both times have been amazing! My friend had told me about this place and the aesthetic of the shop is so lovely and cute. I had gotten the honey lavender latte and honey cinnamon latte. I rarely find any lavender drink flavor so I am very pleased with just how good it taste. The owners themselves are very kind and helpful. I asked for a recommendation for my mother and she really liked what she ate! I personally really like the ham and Swiss croissant since it’s very flaky but flavorful.
This is a perfect mom and pop coffee shop. Love the atmosphere and food options. A diversity of breakfast and lunch with a fusion of Mexican or Japanese twist. I tried their seasonal white chocolate raspberry latte with a breakfast tostada. I will definitely return. Their store is tucked in the corner of the Joey D's place. Perfect hideaway from the normal, everyday stressors.
Cool new spot with vintage vibes and even a “kids zone.” Checked it out for the first time today as it was closer than some of the usual coffee shops I’ve hit while visiting my parents (Banyan, Oscura, American Honey, etc) and had a nice experience. The woman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. We ordered a cortado (off menu), vanilla latte, and the Season of the Witch matcha. Also was given a sample of the drip coffee (medium roast) and it was solid. The cortado was great, as was the matcha drink. The latte was good, but didn’t have milk foam on top - maybe because it was ordered to-go? We didn’t get food but it sounded delicious and will definitely have to get back in for the Japanese breakfast. All in all, well above average coffee drinks and great service. Would recommend to others.
Cute little coffee shop that offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks, frappes, smoothies, breakfast and lunch items. We ordered a caramel latte and pumpkin spiced latte and they were made well. Hot and comforting. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was perfect size. Staff were friendly and prices reasonable. Located back in the corner of the plaza.
