Crema's Take

Parker's Kitchen in Pooler is a no-frills truck stop that serves real food from an actual kitchen rather than roller grill fare, though you'll want to grab dinner before 7 p.m. when they close up. It's clean, well-stocked, and genuinely helpful for drivers needing a quick pit stop with actual meals and functional amenities, though some find the parking fees ($12-20 for trucks) hard to justify given the limited perks compared to larger chains.

Drivers don’t even bother with this place. It’s more of a convenience store than anything else. Restroom 🚽 was clean but it was a waste of my time. Even the restaurant/food was not open for business. So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa. 👌🏾

The fuel pumps are very slow, but they dispense an impressive 30 gallons every 15 minutes.

If you’re a truck driver, save yourself the headache and keep rolling right past this place. They charge $12 for 12 hours and $20 for 24 — and for what? Absolutely nothing. No showers. No amenities. Not even the bare-minimum respect for the people keeping their shelves stocked. And the cherry on top? The employee who woke me up decided to run his mouth about me and then literally walked off the second I stepped up to the register. If you’re bold enough to talk trash, be bold enough to stand there when the person shows up. That’s basic customer service — shoot, that’s basic adulthood. This place wants premium prices with dollar-store effort. Truckers deserve better, and I won’t be back.

Clean truck stop, well stocked good food. Kitchen closes at 7p so that's a little earlier. But it's real food, not roller grill items. Clean bathrooms and paid parking for semi trucks. Quiet, not like the hectic big 4. $12 for 12 hours is reasonable. Will stay again, Scotty was awesome getting me signed up for the rewards for the drinks.

Not one to usually leave a review unless it’s really bad. I went into use my Parker’s rewards card to get a deal on nicotine pouches that Parker has currently going on. It was a nice worker behind the register who was helping me and couldn’t figure out how to get the deal to go onto the price. So in walks this big sweaty Manager with a terrible attitude. I had ran into the discount problem a week prior at the same Parker’s and the lady that helped me was very nice and let me know what to do if this happens again. When I mention that to the manager, he told me I was incorrect and that that never happened and started talking back with an attitude for no reason. Essentially, the customer service was just terrible. I couldn’t even get a word out without him yelling over me. Parker is typically the only gas station I ever use for anything but I’ll never go back to that location again. Someone needs to show him a little bit of accountability.
