Crema's Take
“This downtown Reno spot excels at being the kind of comfortable third space where you can settle in for hours with your laptop, your pup, or a friend—the reliable parking garage and strong wifi mean you'll actually stay awhile. They nail the basics with traditional coffee drinks and a full breakfast menu, making it easy to turn a quick caffeine run into a proper morning ritual within walking distance of restaurants and casinos.”

Perfect location downtown and close to the airport. Walking distance to several restaurants and casinos. I love that they have a nice big parking garage, which helped keep the car dry from the snow. The also offer a mini menu of food offerings and a relaxing eating and bar area to relax or do some late night work at. Only downside was that the full menu wasn't available either night because they hadn't ordered the needed items to prepare all of the food. Additionally, one night they were working on the oven and no food was available for dinner..... The server/bartender was great about offering me some hummus, pita and olives while I waited for my delivery order to arrive. Super sweet staff!
Had a great stay at this apartment style hotel. The room felt more like a full apartment than a hotel, with a great kitchen that made longer stays easy and comfortable. The amenities were excellent, secure parking was a big plus, and the breakfast was surprisingly luxurious with plenty of good options. The gym was also a standout. Spacious, well equipped, and lots of mirrors, which made workouts easy and enjoyable. Overall, very comfortable, well thought out, and perfect if you want more than a standard hotel experience. Would absolutely stay here again.
We have stayed at this location a few times. Never had an issue. This time when we checked in there was nothing said about changing the type of room we originally reserved. Went up to room and it WAS NOT what we had reserved. Went back down and was told they over sold on the room we reserved so they had to put us in a different one. Nothing was ever said to us even upon check in. It was in the teens to low 20's at night and our heater would NOT go above 62degrees! Went down to the front desk and complained. Their response, we can offer you a free night of parking, WE DIDNT HAVE A CAR. Then he said "I can offer you something from the snack case"...I'm sorry what? I dont want a soda I want warmth. Told the guy at check out and asked for a night comped at the very least. He said he cant but I he will tell his manager and I will get a call or email confirming the comp. HAVENT HEARD A WORD and my card was charged full amount. Sadly we will NOT be staying there again.
We stayed 10 nights after Christmas to spend time with family in the area. We chose Element for its location (quick to get to the freeway) and it's pet friendly. The front desk staff and breakfast bar staff were awesome. Breakfast every morning was delicious. And the front desk staff were always welcoming. The day we checked in they had no luggage carts, so it was a few trips unloading and getting things up to the room. A day or so later 3 airport-type carts showed up which was helpful when we checked out. My biggest complaint was housekeeping service. We were supposed to get a refresh every 2 or 3 days (there was conflicting information given) with a total room cleaning every 6 days. We were traveling with our 2 dogs and paying the additional pet fees. I wish that our room could have been cleaned more frequently. We received new towels on day 3, but the bed wasn't made and no vacuuming. On day 6 we did get new sheets & towels, but the trash wasn't removed. In the middle of our stay we returned to our room to find the door open. The deadbolt had been engaged as if housekeeping planned on servicing our room. This was disturbing. Nothing appeared to be missing but our room was open to anyone most of the day. When I reported it to the front desk (immediately after we returned) they said that our room had been scheduled for a refresh that day. For some reason it didn't happen. Housekeeping would be the only reason I wouldn't stay here again. I like being in a clean environment and our room definitely wasn't up to my standards during our stay. Note - the shower floor was very slippery, but the front desk provided no-slip mats upon request.
I am very disappointed in my stay. The first room they provided was 128, it was very cold because the HVAC wasn't working - after playing with the thermostat and waiting for it to kick in I called and was told they world send someone to fix it. After about 10 minutes they called me back to apologize telling me the condenser was broken - why did they give me the room to begin with? They then gave me room 535. I had to repack my stuff, walk with my suitcase and backpack to the desk to exchange keys and take the elevator up and walk to the room which was at the very end of a long hall. The room ended up being handicapped accessible - not wanting to take a room that a handicapped person would want, they then gave me room 533. I ended up having to walk all the way back down to the desk with my suitcase and backpack to get the new key and then walk back up to 533 - good service would have been to meet me by the room. The room itself was fine except very loud due to being along Virginia street. I also had to ask for a shower mat because the shower floor was very smooth and slippery. Also, prior to booking the room and looking at their website, I saw no mention of a $15 per night parking fee. I will be coming back to Reno fairly frequently for work and am not planning to stay here again.
