Crema's Take

Cafe Belle is a charming hole-in-the-wall where thoughtful espresso craftsmanship meets genuinely kind service and a carefully curated selection of Italian-style pastries and sandwiches. The baristas excel at both traditional and specialty drinks—think perfectly executed mochas and lattes—while the kitchen delivers unexpected delights like leek and parmesan turnovers that strike the right balance of texture. It's the kind of cozy neighborhood spot where the little touches matter, from surprise treats in your bag to an eclectic vibe that feels intentional rather than accidental, making it ideal for a meaningful coffee moment rather than a quick grab-and-go.

Super cool spot. The coffee was incredible, the sandwich was just as good, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a little treat in the bag — such a thoughtful touch. Cozy atmosphere with a great vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Definitely coming back.

4.5/5. The service is always fantastic. They have a good mix of savory and sweet pastries, and cookies are good too (a great option for affordable gifting AND supporting a lovely small business). The drinks are great to have in a pinch, but they can be a little too sweet, and their coffee isn’t my first option given the other options in the neighborhood. Regardless, and always a pleasure to pop in for a treat!

Really cute little hole-in-the-wall, really kind barista that makes a very good mocha! The leek and parmesan turnover was very good too—not too flaky which I like. Manhattan prices so a little expensive but such is life on this island. I work around the corner so I’ll probably be back

It’s a cute eclectic coffee shop, with sandwiches & an assortment of Italian style cookies. The latte with whole milk was delicious, really good. The barista was very friendly & the service was great. I was one of only 2 customers in the shop. Be careful with the prices, as the posted menu board prices are not accurate. When I ordered the latte the price I paid was $5.99 before tax & tip, the menu board says it’s $5.50, an almost half dollar difference. When I asked about the price difference the barista said the menu board was really old & outdated. The place isn’t the cleanest, which was surprising for a place not busy. The tables needed to be wiped down (you can see the crumbs on the tables in my photo of the latte). While the decor is cute the place needs a thorough cleaning & some of chairs need repairs (2 of the chairs I tried were very wobbly, perhaps just screws needing tightening?), stains & streaks everywhere, corners filthy, etc. this needs attention, but the espresso machine looked clean at least, as did the insides of the display cases holding the food. I did not get to try the sandwiches or cookies but they did look yummy. Again the coffee is delicious & that’s the reason for the high rating, because at the end of the day, it is a coffee shop. Definitely worth trying. I live nearby & I will come again.

Charming place, but no bathroom and no laptops allowed "due to restaurant week." I ask if they have a special menu or etc. and they said no....okay. The food and drinks are good, though, and the barista I had was very pleasant. Nice quiet alternative to the generally crowded typical coffee spots in the area.
