Crema's Take
“Urbane Cafe strikes that perfect balance between a quick caffeine stop and a lingering destination, where the real magic happens in their house-made focaccia bread and thoughtfully composed bowls that go far beyond typical cafe fare. The team here—especially manager Matt—genuinely seems invested in getting to know regulars and nailing recommendations, creating that rare casual-but-attentive vibe that feels equally welcoming whether you're catching up with your mom or stealing a quiet moment alone.”

My mom and I split the Banh Mi sandwich and Santa Maria Bbq salad. The sandwich was perfect, love the touch of salt on top of the bread and not too saucy. The side salad it comes with is perfect partner. I don’t care for the salad. The bbq sauce is very sweet and the lettuce is too big, needs to be chopped. I don’t like a lot of dressing but I’m sure the kale and lettuce dies down once it’s drenched in dressing. Chocolate chip cookies are serves warm, crunchy on the outside and slightly soft on the inside. So good!
The bowls here are absolutely amazing and the focaccia bread they make is the bomb. The service is fantastic and employees are very friendly. Like the oatmeal raisin cookie for the first time and it was absolutely outstanding 5 stars is not enough. I forgot to take pictures.
Great food!! Love all of the healthy options, great customer service and very clean atmosphere. Nice chill music. Really glad I came in, looking forward to trying everything on the menu lol so hard to choose it all looks so good. I got the socal sandwich and put the chipotle aioli on the side to keep it a little healthier. SO YUMMY. Shout out to the lovely Fatima for helping me at the checkout:) - Aliso Viejo location
The food here is really good. Friendly staff and A+ on timeliness when I’m in a hurry. Matt, the manager, goes above and beyond to making sure you’re taken care of. He gave me a great recommendation on their new salted caramel churro cookie. They also make their bread in-house so it makes the sandwiches that much better. Don’t miss out!
Overall experience was ok! A solid 4 stars. We came on a Saturday around noon, the place was not crazy busy, but they were having a constant flow of customers. Parking can get hectic, lots of other shops around. It was a clean restaurant, well maintained and organized. The staff could’ve been nicer. A “Hi and welcome,” would have been nice. But she was still professional and patient as she took our orders. The food was ok. It was just good. Good flavor, chicken was a bit dry, nothing some sauce couldn’t fix haha. Not sure if I’ll come back though, it is really out of my way, but it has good stars on help and google so I wanted to try it! Would I recommend it? Yes, try it if you are around the area!
