Delicious coffee and great vibes! This is my go to on my way to work. They also have small plates for breakfast available and a drive-thru. Their seasonal drinks are always the best! There’s also plenty of seating. You should definitely support this small business!
This is a great coffee shop. The employees are extremely friendly. They use great coffee beans that are expertly sourced. The midnight roast coffee is the best cup of coffee I have had in many years!!
No Curbside Pickup. Website allows you to choose In-Store or Curbside pickup. Because I had a baby with me, I choose curbside pickup. Website directed me to enter the make and model of my vehicle. When I arrived, I parked in one of the three curbside pickup spots as designated by metal physical signs. When I called requesting my order the employee was confused. They wanted to confirm if I ordered at the Pittsboro location. I said I did as they clearly had an order under my name ready for pickup. They said they don't do curbside pickup and directed me to the drive through. This worked so I didn't have to get the baby out of the car. However, when I mentioned that the website had this option, they said they had never heard of such a thing. When I pointed at the three physical signs, the employee stared blankly. Please update the website to remove the curbside pickup option or train the employees on the curbside process. Food was fine.
Lukewarm, flavorless, poor value We stopped here for a quick caffeine fix while traveling home Saturday after Thanksgiving and were extremely disappointed with the quality of our drinks. We ordered two lattes and one masala chai, and all three were delivered lukewarm and virtually flavorless. - Masala Chai was the worst drink. It was watery, lukewarm, and completely lack the rich spice we expected. We ordered it with milk and sugar and we’re instructed to add our own sugar when handed the chai. The chai was undrinkable and went straight into the trash - Lattes: My brown sugar & vanilla tasted strangely like honey, and the caramel latte was so bland. Both were also lukewarm. The male employee was working hard and appeared to be working alone. There were 2 customers before us and 4 after. The shop was closing in 30 minutes so perhaps the brewing equipment had already been shut down, which may explain the lukewarm temperature— but this is no excuse for serving three expensive low quality, lukewarm, flavorless drinks. We opted not to ask for a remake or refund as the employee was already very busy with customers waiting, and we couldn’t afford a longer delay on our trip. I forced myself to drink part of my latte just because I paid for it, but couldn’t stomach finishing it. I don’t like writing a negative review, but this was a huge disappointment and a waste of $20. If you’re passing through and looking for a quick quality coffee experience, I don’t recommend this stopping here. Or Perhaps it was just an off day and you’ll have a better experience than we did!
While this definitely isn't a budget option for breakfast, the acai bowls are delicious! (Pictured: an acai bowl with granola, peanut butter, strawberries, and blueberries.) They are also pretty big, so while they aren't cheap, I would say they are a pretty good value. I don't know if this is permanent or just for back to school, but they also have deals for Northwood students and staff if you present your school ID.
