CUTE TO THE MAX! Love love love. The vibes are immaculate! Andé is a doll and makes me want to come back over and over. Just the best little coffee shop around. I would drive across the country just for a few minutes here. Love it. I just can’t recommend enough. We need more places with this energy in the world.

Coffee was good but barista was annoyed we interrupted her phone time. She was sitting at a table and was not happy to have to get up and go around the counter. No smile, no greeting, nothing. Very unwelcoming atmosphere.

I went in this morning (Sunday the 11th) for the first time to meet up with a friend for 10:00. So peaceful with Aretha Franklin singing gently through the speakers while the barista welcomed me in. Right away I felt warm, dry & appreciating the aroma of coffee.

Honestly the best vibe in Olympia if video games and strong coffee are you things! The space is small, but the music usually slaps!

Rex & Rose, nestled in the historic Security Building in Olympia, is a gem in the local coffee scene. This café delivers a beautiful coffee experience, highlighted by an excellent vanilla latte that is smooth, rich, and not too sweet. The barista informed me of their plans to get a wine and beer license, adding to their diverse drink offerings, so they are more than coffee. The vibe at Rex & Rose is warm and inviting, with gallery displays on the walls. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and creativity. With all the local options like this, it's no surprise that downtown Olympia no longer has a Starbucks, and Rex & Rose are at the top. Rex & Rose is more than just a café. It's a testament to the dedication of local business owners who deeply care about quality and community. Their passion is evident in every cup, and I can't wait to revisit it!
