Crema's Take

This no-frills neighborhood gem opens early and keeps prices refreshingly reasonable, making it a genuine local favorite rather than a polished coffee destination. Katy's strength lies in their straightforward classics—a perfect vanilla iced latte, hearty bagels with creative toppings like sesame with cream cheese and onions, and satisfying breakfast fare—served in a cozy, tight-quartered space where owner Katy's warmth sets the tone. Come ready to grab and go or claim a precious seat for a slow morning, but arrive with humble expectations that this humble cafe will absolutely meet.

Perfect vanilla iced latte. Quaint spot, no frills. Didn’t try the food this time but it seems like a humble business. Not a lot of seating so don’t come with the expectation to dine in.

Yay - Summer hours, open to 5 PM on weekends including Friday. The Sesame Bagel with cream cheese and onions way better than homemade. Quiche with veggies and black beans was immaculate. Accompanied with perfectly balanced coffee for a Sunday afternoon. Do yourself a favor.

Katy's Corner Cafe is a cozy, delicious, and welcoming local cafe. The sandwiches we got were top notch - not fancy, but super hearty and hit the spot. Drinks were similarly good, service was kind, and space inside (while tiny) did have a table available for us. For sure recommend a visit!

Katy's Breakfast bagels are perfect, the coffee was great, the smoothies, not so much. I ordered a peach smoothie and they made it with too much orange juice and there was very little peach flavor. I know they put peaches in it, because I watched, but the amount of OJ surprised me. I would recommend Katy's to anyone not looking for a smoothie.

Katy's Cafe has a heartwarming, unassuming charm that the more modern, sleeker cafes simply don't possess. It opens early, its prices are very reasonable, its owner Katy, is personable and loves the community. It reminds me of how nice it is to talk with the people working at a cafe, like real talking, and care for each other, not just "How are you doing?" straight to "Here is your total." Does this place have the best breakfast in Seattle, probably no (it is still delicious), but this is the only place where my breakfast bagel was nicely heated up and handed to me with my name on the bag even though no on else was there. I feel being cared for and that deserves 5 stars.
