Crema's Take

This elegant Portland bakery strikes a beautiful balance between serious espresso craft and showstopping pastries, with their mango fruit pastries earning particular devotion from regulars. The bright, classically decorated space feels upscale yet welcoming, and the genuinely friendly staff keeps the line moving even during rushes. Whether you're lingering over a perfectly pulled shot or grabbing a croissant with surprisingly thoughtful flavor combinations, there's a palpable care in both the coffee and the kitchen that justifies the climb up the price scale.

I usually don’t write reviews.. good or bad. BUT today I purchased some desserts from Artisserie and when I got home AFTER EATING HALF OF THE DESSERT, I noticed that there was mold where all the fruit was piled up. This is really unfortunate because the place looked really good. Now I don’t know if I trust eating any of their other desserts/pastry’s again. I’m hoping that this is just a one time thing and it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I would definitely appreciate an explanation..

Great experience! The folks working were so friendly. Loved the mango fruit pastry so much wish I'd grabbed 2. The other pasteries were tasty as well but not something you can't get elsewhere for less than $10. Street parking is a bit crowded but if you are patient you can find somewhere nearby to park. Might be a little bit of a walk.

Atmosphere: very cute decor inside, love the wedding cake example they have up. Very classy and upscale feel. Servuce: two people were working when we arrived and both were friendly and helpful. Food: we got a large array. The croissant is the best I've ever had, buttery and pillow-soft, with a very flakey outter crisp. The mocha croissant suprême was delicious, and had a double filling with a tasty mocha outter meringue-like coating. The chocolatine was also the best I've ever had with the dough itself having cocoa it seems, and there is plenty of chocolate flavor unlike a traditional pain au chocolat. The vanilla beignet was delicious, and filled to the brim with cream inside. We also got the dulce de leche brownie, pink lady, and hazelnut desserts, and all were delicious and had a great balance of flavor. Overall this place is a must-visit for dessert and pastry lovers. Highly recommend!

The food was great. The sandwich was warm and fresh, and the salad had the perfect dressing ratio with a unique flavor combination that worked well. Even though it was busy, they moved the line quickly, answered questions, and provided helpful guidance. Service was excellent. I was welcomed right away. The woman behind the counter was attentive and very aware of what was happening at all times. Communication between her and the other employee was clear and efficient. They worked together seamlessly. Overall, efficient service and great quality food. I would recommend and plan to return. Can’t wait to try more from the menu

This bakery offers a great variety of pastries. I came specifically to try their round croissant and chose the mango flavor—it was perfect, with a crispy outer layer and a smooth mango cream inside. I also tried the pistachio one, though I was hoping for pistachio cream filling, but it was some different filling instead. Along with the pastries, I ordered a tiramisu latte, but it was a little watery for my taste. The shop itself is clean and welcoming, with a few sidewalk seats for enjoying your treats outside.
