French Corner Carlsbad Village

Exactly the light lunch with interesting coffee and pastries we were looking for! Pleasant, theme appropriate music, not too loud. Everything very fresh and tasty. Staff super helpful, kind and patient!

Stopped in today! Alexandra, the owner was so bright and cheery. Her pastries and coffee are incredible. She makes everything from scratch and creates such a warm friendly environment! I highly reccomend to stop in and try this French corner cafe !

I feel like I'm in Paris alright, with indifferent service and a slightly old, dirty interior. The cappuccino was awesome though and although I didn't get any food items personally, my companions seemed to enjoy their pastries. It was pretty busy and we were indirectly rushed to leave sooner than we'd have liked by the staff. I'd still go back though, friendly service is an overrated American thing, and quality of food/drink is always top priority.

One of my FAVORITE cafe’s!! The staff is hust LOVELY. Even the air when you walk in, is amazing. It’s warm and buttery like one of their freshly baked croissant they sell. I come here to grab pastries for events and an iced latte when I need a treat. The espresso based drinks are the smoothest and best I’ve ever had from anywhere in the world. ( Including Italy & France!) They source their espresso from an Oakland roaster that is a multigenerational family with its roots in Italy. Simply the best! If you are in Cbad Village or Leucadia, order and iced or hot Hazelnut latte. Life changing. ~ Sincerely Traveler & Former Starbucks Barista

The food here is amazing. I get the vegetarian breakfast sandwich, a crepe, and the coffee with condensed milk. The vegetarian breakfast sandwich is delicious with their baguette bread, and the crepes are custardy and yummy. On this day, the service is okay, the person didn't greet us when we went up to order, never smiled, didn't ask if I wanted my coffee iced or hot, or if I wanted a receipt. Other days, customer service is amazing and enthusiastic, so they could definitely work on consistency. Other than that, this is a solid spot if you want French style food.
