Crema's Take

Banyan Cafe is a tropical oasis where exceptional espresso meets the serene magic of sitting beneath a sprawling banyan tree, making it feel less like a coffee shop and more like a garden escape in the heart of Fort Myers. The thoughtfully curated selection of specialty drinks and delicate pastries pairs perfectly with the unhurried, spacious atmosphere that's equally suited for solo work sessions, family afternoons, or meaningful group gatherings. Whether you're savoring a perfectly pulled shot with beautiful crema or lingering over a seasonal special while surrounded by lush greenery, this place transforms your coffee break into a genuine moment of respite.

A wonderful coffee shop in an amazing setting. Nestled up to and almost under a banyan tree. A small selection of pastries, but they were delicate and tasty. The espresso I had had a nice crema and had a nice balanced flavor.

This was a very cute stop and a great way to start the morning. Enjoy a walk and spend some time looking at plants and then maybe sit for a bit, read a book and sip on your coffee. I ordered the toffee seasonal special on a whim, and while a bit sweet for my usual tastes, it was a solid choice. I did experience a bit of regret because my partner ordered the cranberry lemonade which was perfect. I was a bit sad to learn that they came under new ownership, so those sweet little cakes in some of the Google photos are not available every day. I settled for a chocolate croissant which was hard to be upset with. I imagine humidity must affect the lamination process quite a bit.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy coffee in a pristine, tropical garden setting. I only had the coffee but it was great, and the selection is quite expansive - even including seasonal specials. Having the Edison gardens all around is definitely the highlight for me. There is ample seating, including covers to protect from Florida weather and provide additional shade. Proximity to downtown is great, and there is abundant parking. Definitely a great place to stop, grab some caffeine, and then mosey around and soak in Florida's beauty.

What an awesome spot! I absolutely adore this coffee shop and bakery. I came here with my family with two little kids on a Saturday afternoon. There were many other customers but it was spacious and still peaceful! There is plenty of parking with a small parking lot up front and many more spots further back. The coffee shop is actually a small trailer or truck type space and it’s very charming and beautiful. It looked clean and well kept. The sitting area is spacious with tables spread around under shade from big trees and lots of plants all around. The coffee menu is so fun- there are a lot of unique latte offerings. I had a blueberry, cheesecake latte and I found it delicious. A bit sweeter than I usually go for but so well executed. We also ordered a lot of the bakery items to share- a raspberry cheesecake, a banana cake and almond and chocolate croissants. Wow, everything was delicious and so well made. The croissants were decadent and rich. The cheesecake was so tastefully sweet and well balanced with airy texture and contrasting crumbly crust. The banana cake was a total surprise with its rich and moist layers! Excellent all around. The girls and women who work there are beaming with smiles and very friendly and kind. I am a coffee and bakery lover. I am a traveler and explore towns through their coffee spots… this is one to remember! Thanks so much! With I took more photos.

I came with HER Corporate (a working moms group) to Banyan Cafe a few weeks ago and I'm so glad I did. We were vision board planning for 2024 and it was the most perfect atmosphere! It can be confusing to find the place because it's located outdoors right in the middle of Edison & Ford Winter Estates. They open at 9am unless they state otherwise. It seems like they frequently update their Facebook and Instagram when they change their hours. I love that it's run by a mother and daughter duo and they have freshly made baked goods as well as delicious coffee. They have plenty of seating and there is an awning over some tables and umbrellas over others. Stop by, you won't regret it! It's so peaceful coming here and they even have a garden center next door. It's a perfect place to grab a coffee and walk!
