Crema's Take
“Alfalfa hits that sweet spot between casual neighborhood hangout and thoughtful lunch destination, with a minimalist vibe that makes it perfect for lingering over coffee or a custom salad. The menu leans creative and ingredient-forward—think buffalo cauliflower wraps and composed salads—though recent reports suggest they're tightening their offerings, so regulars should check in on what's currently available. The staff genuinely seems to care, and despite some mixed reviews about portion sizes and menu changes, it remains a solid spot for meeting friends or settling in with a pastry and good coffee.”

Shrinkflation! I’ve been getting the Peruvian chicken wrap once a week for a while now. But recently they raised prices, and shrunk the size of the wrap! It’s way smaller now but costs ~$20… Pretty scummy move, they’ve lost me as a regular customer.
They changed the whole damn menu. No more edamame, no more candied walnuts, no more cranberries. My whole salad that I always ordered just disappeared. Are they trying to cut costs? Who knows. But I walked right out after seeing the new menu.
I ordered a salad and found unidentified white crunchy like dots all over the vegetables, no one at Alfalfa could even tell me what they were. At first I thought they were seeds but I didn’t order those in my salad and they didn’t look like seeds. I called the restaurant, and they had no idea what was in their own food, which is honestly terrifying and a huge allergy concern. It looked revolting and completely unappetizing. To make it worse, when I called, they said there was nothing they could do, not even a refund or a replacement meal. Totally unacceptable for a place that claims to serve “fresh and healthy” food. I won’t be coming back, and if you have any allergies or care about food safety, you should seriously think twice before ordering here.
This was a delivery order. There was actually a special offer and decided to give it a try. I customized my own salad and added a few extra items: chicken, avocado, goat cheese, eggs. It was good and was aligned with what I was expecting from a salad. The size was decent given what I had added - which made it consistent enough. Good salad, but it does add up if you are adding the more premiums add-ons. It wad a great option for me and it was prepared super fast!
The buffalo goddess was all of my favorite things in one wrap: buff cauli, brussels sprouts, greens, goat cheese, sweet potato, etc! Staff was super sweet and I liked the minimalist vibes of the spot, too. 10/10 I will be back for those donuts!
