Crema's Take

This Bavarian-themed bakery in Leavenworth aims for European authenticity but stumbles badly on execution—reviewers consistently report hollow pastries, dry bread, skimpy fillings, and inconsistent quality across the menu, making it feel more like a tourist trap than a real bakery. A few customers have had decent experiences, but at a 3.5-star rating with dozens of disappointed visitors citing the same problems, this is a real miss rather than a worthwhile detour. Add in a 50-cent card fee and no restrooms, and there's little reason to make it a priority.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Pastries on the menu.

Almond Kringle Slices tastes decent! Note they charge 50cents for any credit or debit card (and no Amex) Btw they don’t have restroom.

I stopped by for a sweet treat after my lunch at the Munchen Haus and was a little disappointed. It was a little busy and I wanted to try a piece of apple strudel with a cannoli, a almond kringle, and a pretzel. The bakery has a large selection of Danish pastries, apple…
