Crema's Take
“This Louisville institution has deep roots in specialty coffee culture, built on decades of espresso expertise, though recent changes to their roasting operations have left some longtime customers longing for the craftsmanship they once knew. What remains is a straightforward spot for traditional espresso drinks and quick coffee runs, best appreciated by those seeking convenience over complexity. The warm hospitality of the team is genuine, even if the coffee itself has become a point of contention among those who remember when a master roaster's hand guided every batch.”

Five Star vending machines are a joke and frankly not a funny one. Anytime their machines are attempted to be used at Carmax in Louisville they steal money or simply do not work. A majority of the time they do not distribute drinks or snacks and always have a sign saying sorry broken. Children will be waiting for hours with their parents while they are either buying a car or having their car worked on only to not be able to even get a snack or drink. Maybe if the customers were sitting in five stars office they would actually make an effort or attempt to be adults and maintain or god forbid actually fix their machines. It would be a favor and kindness to all involved if they were just unplugged permanently and left to rot as rarely as they even actually operate. Frankly I doubt the owners even have a conscience or emotions on any level as little as they seem to care about actually doing anything. *Update* they stocked and *fixed* their machine
Our business has used John Conti for a long time. It was expensive but it was good. We even have positive Google reviews that mentioned your coffee. But I must say, that recently changed. The gourmet blend is different now. It's in different packaging. It's weak. It has no flavor. The creamer has changed too. It's not as good either. We might as well buy folgers and coffeemate. I think we will if the quality doesn't go back on the next shipment. Edit: They are sending better quality stuff. Good job!
Would not recommend. The coffee is no longer roasted by their master roaster of 30 years, so the experience and human touch is long gone. Their coffee now is bitter and just not good at all.
Very nice people, but I highly recommend truck drivers back up around the corner of their building to get into the docks. Not much room to turn around. I managed barely to get turned around by sliding my tandems all the way forward and getting someone to spot me so I didn't take out any parked cars.
Unpaid Review: John Conti has probably the worst tasting coffee that has ever caressed my taste buds. At first, I thought I was making a grave mistake and not making it correctly. Oh No! After many conversations with local coffee lovers and casual drinkers my suspicions were confirmed. John Conti is the epitome of "Bad Coffee". If you've ever wondered what "Bad Coffee" tastes like, like I used to wonder what a "Hoppy beer" tastes like then look no further than John Conti.
