Crema's Take

Tucked near the LA River, this espresso-focused workshop draws serious coffee lovers who rave about smooth, nutty pulls that never disappoint, paired with excellent pastries and an easy-going vibe that's perfect for lingering or meeting friends. The outdoor seating offers a lovely spot to enjoy the riverside setting, though street parking requires a little patience during peak hours. Whether you're cycling the river path or seeking refuge from the LA heat, this feels like the kind of neighborhood spot worth making a regular stop.

Ordered two draft lattes, got them back to the car without taking a sip, foam was gone and there was less than half a cup of actual coffee in them. Super disappointing.

Great coffee, great pastries, and an easy vibe. Street parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day, but it’s worth it once you’re inside. There’s outdoor seating if you want some fresh air, and it’s right by the LA River bike path which makes it a perfect stop before or after a ride. Consistently solid spot.

Definitely worth going at least once in a while. Worth the stop if youre exercising down the la river. It saved my dehydration under the hot la sun when bicycling. Best part for a lactose intolerant person, vegan cheese yesss.

The coffee here has never disappointed!!!! It goes down smooth and has a nutty after taste. It is located close to the river so it provides a lovely view to enjoy. Expect a wait if you come on the weekends.

There are five locations in California and they're all in Southern California. As of April 2024, I have only been to the Silverlake and Frogtown locations. I prefer this location because it's more remote, away from traffic and parking is a little easier. They do have a few (maybe a couple?) parking spaces in an adjacent lot for La Colombe visitors, but street parking is easy to find (depending on what time you visit). The patio is a great space, with plenty of seating. Know that the sparrows outside in the patio are bold and will eat your pastry if you don't watch it. After your coffee and/or pastry, enjoy a walk along the bike path right outside the patio.
