Canopy Road - Persimmon Hill

This restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a date with your girlfriend or wife, or a business meeting due to its tranquility. The service is fantastic and the table service is unparalleled. The food is exquisite; we tried two dishes and both lived up to expectations.

My family and I have been enjoying Canopy Road Cafe at Persimmon Hill for almost a year. I rate it a 10 star! The manager must be amazing and take great care of their staff. Everyone there is AMAZING! whether they are your waiter or not they are team players that display a high level of customer service! The cooks are outstanding! I've never had an issue with the food. Everyone is so lovely and caring. The atmosphere is so pleasant and welcoming. I can't brag on them enough. I encourage you to stop by and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

This location is awful compared to the other locations in town. The seating layout is so tight you feel like you're at the table next to you, you can barely walk through this restaurant when there's people at every table even the wait staff looked like they were struggling, seems like a fire hazard. Food was subpar for canopy road. My chicken and waffles were okay, but my mom's coffee had grounds floating all in it and there was an entire layer of water on top of the already watery grits. This location is closer to us but we'll be making the trek into town for the better locations next time.

Although the food itself was good, my wife and I were surprised by how small the portions were for the price. I ordered a “skillet,” but the serving barely filled half of the dish, with the muffin taking up most of the space (photo attached). We also noticed several other plates coming out of the kitchen that looked only half full. Compared to other local breakfast spots, the portion sizes here seem to be much smaller.

Chicken, bacon, ranch skillet breakfast might be one of the best meals I have had the pleasure of experiencing! Recommended by staff, who was an absolute pleasure to speak with, Hannah put a smile on everyone’s face with her bright and positive spirit! I, for one will be back to try more meals! A must stop if you’re in the area, don’t pass this restaurant up, trust me!
