Rivers Edge Cafe & Brews

Crema's Take
“This beloved Puyallup spot strikes that rare balance between a serious coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming community gathering place, where baristas actually know how to finesse foam and the kitchen turns out flavorful breakfast classics worth the visit alone. Dog-friendly patios, ample parking, and a relaxed vibe make it equally suited for lingering over a meticulously crafted cappuccino or fueling up before a shopping trip, and locals keep coming back because the quality and care show in every cup and plate that leaves the kitchen.”

I stopped by 5 River Café in the southhill mall and really enjoyed the coffee. It was smooth, fresh, and well made. Great quality and a nice spot to grab a cup—definitely worth checking out!
I have been here several times and it's always great! Besides the excellent food and customer service, they are one of the very few local places that know how to customize the foam for your cappuccino! This small touch makes a huge difference!
First time here, everything looked good on the menu, so I couldn't decide what I wanted. We got the biscuit and gravy, which was full of flavor! I got a black and white without caffeine, and it was great! Also, we got a loaded breakfast bagel, egg, ham, sausage, bacon, and cheddar cheese, phenomenaaaaaal! It seems like too much, but it really does go well together.
We were on a road trip and found this little oasis. Dog friendly with lots of outdoor seating and free parking. Always a plus. Great selection of breakfast dishes, coffee dringks, sandwiches, salads, 11 taps and signature cocktails. It was a beautiful sunny day so had to start with a Margarita! Ordered half a Garden salad with in-house made Ranch dressing. Probably could have been a meal in itself, but the Pastrami sandwich with sauerkraut and sweet/hot mustard was calling my name. My wife got the French Dip. The buns were so good! Soft but with a little crunch on the edges from a brief visit to the flat top griddle I'm guessing. The first Margarita went down too fast so I had to have another. Our awesome server Foo said that they had a Strawberry version and I told her "Yes! Bring it on!" It was so good and scary because you could drink a lot of 'em! We ended up taking half of our sandwiches home. (You can order half a sandwich if you want.) Just a great experience all around!
Stopped here to eat before shopping around The Old Cannery after thinking of visiting for years. So glad we finally visited! It seemed like a local spot and the person taking orders seemed to know some of the people coming in. Although quick service style with a drive-thru, drinks and food were delivered to tables. I had a white chocolate mocha and my husband a mocha. Both were served piping hot (I normally ask for extra hot but didn’t need to here) and the flavor was great, not too sweet. We forgot to get photos before starting to eat but remembered halfway through. I had the meaty burrito from the breakfast menu, I could only eat half it was very filling. The country gravy in the burrito was perfection. My husband loves Reubens and had to order one when he saw it on the menu. Looks like they toasted it open faced because the cheese was nice and golden brown and melty. He enjoyed his sandwich and ate it all.
