Vault Coffee
324 Sherman Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID
Crema's Take
“Vault Coffee is a charming downtown Coeur d'Alene spot where creative seasonal drinks like the White Pumpkin and Neapolitan shine, backed by knowledgeable baristas who clearly care about specialty coffee craft. The vintage atmosphere and reliable pastries (that maple coffee cake gets real love) make it an inviting place to linger, though consistency with espresso fundamentals seems to vary depending on who's pulling shots that day. If you're seeking Instagram-worthy latte art and imaginative flavor combinations over strict technical precision, you'll find a genuinely friendly space worth exploring.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused, with creative signature drinks. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries on the menu.

My lucky rainy chilly morning in downtown, CdA. I found Vault Coffee and elated I chose to stop here while on my way to another favorite shop. Eva warmly welcomed & treated me so kindly, I immediately relaxed into my comfy spot to relax, sip and read for a while. Even though…
Vault Coffee is adorable and the coffee + breakfast sandwich were genuinely great. The space has such a cute vibe and I wanted to love it but the service honestly felt uncomfortable. I was the only customer in there with three employees working, and somehow still got a lot of…
Nice downtown shop, enjoyed the atmosphere, coffee was decent, food was pretty good. Customer service was a bit flat. Experience wasn’t stellar, but I’d give it another shot!
Notable dust in the window sills and cobwebs on the chandeliers. In my experience of working in restaurants, this is part of a larger issue of not thoroughly cleaning in general. If the visible areas are dirty, imagine what the unseen areas are like. The seasonal coffee flight…
The coffee here is not a lot better than SB. The person at the register did not know what a flat white was. She just gave me a latte. They burn the milk and the shot is bitter. Atmosphere is great. They need to work on the barista training though.
The seasonal drinks were amazing! We tried the White Pumpkin and Charlie Brown, and both were delicious. I also loved the latte art on top—it was a nice touch. I gave it 4 stars because the croissant sandwiches were just okay; I probably wouldn’t order them again. The barista…
