Crema's Take
“Momo Ashi Cafe is a charming Japanese-inspired spot in Winston-Salem that brilliantly bridges coffee culture with Asian snacks and creative drinks, earning devoted regulars with their standout Thai Iced Milk Tea and the unexpectedly delightful Wamochi (a mochi waffle). Beyond the excellent specialty beverages, you'll find fresh takoyaki, onigiri, and thoughtfully made paninis that consistently impress, all served in a family-friendly shopping center location with plenty of parking. This is the kind of neighborhood gem where almost everything on the menu feels like a discovery worth sharing.”

Momo Ashi is a small eatery specializing in Japanese-adjacent snacks (Takoyaki, Onigiri) and refreshing tea drinks. The real star of their menu (in my opinion) is the Wamochi, a waffle made with mochi thats packed with flavor. The outside is crunchy while the inside is delightfully chewy and stretchy. The Earl Gray and Brown Sugar Wamochi are so insanely good.
Four of us came in and ordered boba teas, onigiri, takoyaki, Nutella toast, paninis… everything was fantastic! I’m in love! It’s located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. It’s a cafe with counter service. The service was very friendly and helpful!
Momo Ashi Cafe in Winston-Salem is an absolute gem! This spot consistently delivers on delicious drinks, food, and snacks. For drinks, the Thai Iced Milk Tea 🍵 is. The gold standard. If you're looking for something refreshing and caffeine-free, their ☕ Coffee Milk Tea is my personal favorite. When it comes to food and snacks, you have to try the Smoked Salmon Monigiri 🍣. Even my young boys housed them down And if you have pickier eaters, they will love the Wamochi! 🧇 These gluten-free mochi waffles are chewy, slightly sweet, and addictive. Whether you go for the classic, chocolate, or brown sugar, you won't be disappointed. Their cute "Pawnini" pressed sandwiches are also great for a quick bite! The decor is super cute, making it a perfect spot to chill or grab a quick, tasty treat. They also have ♿ handicap accessible seating, 🅿️ parking, and 🚻 restrooms. Highly recommend!
First time to this cute little spot. We had the green tea in passionfruit and mango which both were quite good. The onigiri was yummy. Good filling portions and well packaged. Love the kimchi cheese pawnini! Customer service was great. I’d definitely recommend!
We discovered Momo Ashi Cafe online and have been frequent visitors. The culinary offerings consistently impress, with standout items including their flavorful onigiri, refreshing slushies, and delightful waffles. The service is prompt and courteous, enhancing the overall dining experience. The interior ambiance exudes relaxation, cuteness, and coziness—a perfect trifecta. I wholeheartedly recommend Momo Ashi Cafe for a quick bite, refreshing drinks, and as a serene spot to unwind.
